Thor has taken a big step forward. I know the Arnold events are friendlier for him this year but even so...

He's going to have a hard job not winning WSM this season.

Yeah only Ed has done more but only with a suit. 472kg is the biggest raw. Thor is the man

Yes and I think he will win that event, but doesn't need to really.
He is seriously strong! Elephant bar or not. That's a f**king strong, raw deadlift!

The elephant bar is way harder than people seem to think. Remember Eddie did a super hard lift of not much more than 1000lb on it. If you actually look at the bend in the bar when it comes up its no different than a deadlift bar plus shakes a lot.

Everybody that's lifted on it has said its harder than they thought it would be. Also have to keep in mind that all these guys who did 1000lb+ can do it on a deadlift bar too, jerry actually lifted the 500kg off the floor with no suit after Eddie if you remember.

I remember

Thor will lift over 500 if he wants. Though not sure if raw

Not on this bar no, he actually did a complete max with something like 1020 (can't remember exact number?) a few years back. His 500kg was on a deadlift bar with a power suit.

Ed pulled 465 on it two years ago and it was max effort

He can already do it judging from this. His coach and nutritionalist changes have made night an day difference. Hopefully he wins wsm, has been on the podium far too many times to not win it.

This comps not over yet though, still needs to nail the last event.

Agreed! He is easily the strongest to never win.

Definitely. Would love to see him do a powerlifting comp, would put up a crazy total if he brought his grip up a bit.

Very impressive from Thor, hope he puts in a good performance on the axle. When does it start?
