Dicko is a former British and Commonwealth hammer record holder and competed in the Montreal ('76) and Moscow ('80) Olympics. He has a huge interest in strongman, lifted recreationally until relatively recently and is a former training partner of Mark Proctor (GB shot putter) and Gary Taylor. Generally Dicko knows what he's talking about. Although, he did say the other night (talking about Martin Wildauer) that Austria had never produced a strongman before! Bryce said Arnold(!) and I was wondering how they could have forgotten Manfred Hoeberl!!! | ||
