I've agreed on 25,000 Turkish lira (~£6,500) for the guy to do the shuttering and steel work. He's coming this weekend hopefully to mark where the foundations will be laid and where some holes need to be dug. Found a VERY good price for the steel. $455 a ton delivered, but I can collect with a lorry so a bit more saved there. | ||

Cant you use the spoil from the excavation to back fill the well along side the hardcore to save on muckaway cost? | ||

Update - money was always going to be tight post-brexit, but now the £ has taken a nosedive. I was intending on paying $8,000 for steel this weekend, but might leave it a bit as things are SLOWLY recovering over the course of the day. | ||

Worse. It's gone from me being able to build it without needing a loan to me having to scrimp and save, plus HOPE I won't need a loan! I've probably lost about 10-12 thousand pounds over the past few months. | ||
