still a devious weightlifting bastard Member 43, 14374 posts | I'm a mid 40's YO kind of guy so not up to speed with you kids and your new fangled ways. It took an epic thread, several death threats and a few years of my life for me to learn that a deload is actually the same as a light workout so basically I don't pick things up easily. I'm hoping someone can patiently enlighten me on - What is a fried CNS? I understand that frying is to cook in oil/fat so not sure where a CNS fits in? How do you know you have a fried CNS? What's the difference between having a fried CNS and being a bit tired? Can you have a fried CNS and not be tired? If you are tired is it always because you have a fried CNS? How do you go about unfrying a fried CNS? Is it the same way as you unfry a fried egg? Can furious masturbation fry your CNS? http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--YjG418Wo--...

Help me rescue my Insulina. Member 5366, 1090 posts | NS - Nervous system, i.e the nerves in the body and their associated functions. CNS - CENTRAL nervous system, accounts for the nerves/parts inside the brain and spinal cord PNS - PERIPHERAL nervous system, accounts for everything else, so the nerves in your arms and legs for example. Nerves are responsible for sensation, pain, touch, touching your penis, touching someone elses penis. Nerves also connect other parts of the body, such as the eyes to the brain, they are pathways essentially for commands/response and use electrical impulse to achieve this. When we talk about anything very taxing on the body such as lifting heavy ass weights, labouring on a building site, John Prescott lookalike orgy, it puts the nervous system under a lot of strain as both command/response for a deadlift is far more strenous than that of watching TV. Faz does have a point as it is the nervous system as a whole that can become fatigued but people tend to use CNS as a generalisation/probably don't fully understand what they are talking about Your nervous system is like anything else in the body, it needs to recover. In most cases of overtraining it's often the nervous system that is battered and not the muscles themselves. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I aint no biologist

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I aint no biologist Understand what it is and have a rudimentary understanding of how it works, but how does it get 'fried', and how do you know that your CNS/ NS is fried and not the muscles? I also don't get how people seem to know that doing something in particular will fry their CNS. I feel like not having this knowledge is leading to me missing out. I don't want to miss out. Not anymore.
