Couldn't get to the gym last night as family was in London. Off away at the weekend again which means no weightlifting once again Unhappy Wasn't looking forward to this session as went to The Rib Man at work for lunch today and got extra large portion - literally close to a kilo of pure meat. Felt like I was going to burst going into this session, so lethargic too.

Squats were ok, was messing about with technique a bit. Didn't feel tight at all today either. Sets 3 and 4 were brilliant, descended pretty fast, way below parallel but didn't go atg. Seems like the optimal depth for this style of squat, little bit of intentional forward lean too. The challenge is hitting that sweet spot on every rep. The upright atg ones weren't as good. Other sets were a bit sub-standard but the reps were smooth enough, no drama. Bench was fast.

Sleep has been horrendous over the last couple of weeks, ~5-6 per night. It's this damn sunshine coming into my bedroom, think I'm gonna tape some bin liners to the windows tonight or something!

Tonight's session was good, glad to finally up the weight on bench next week. Squats were fast, got a video of the final three sets.

Quite tough and left shoulder was aching a bit so left it there.

Great session tonight, really felt like cardio lol. Stuck the press in tonight as I'm away this weekend (yet again!) so no time for a fourth session this week (yep, no weightlifting again...). Things should calm down a bit after this week thankfully.

Don't suppose you'll be at the club tomorrow morning? Popped in the other week and Martin said he'll let me train on a Tuesday morning session as it's quieter. Should be interesting!

Ah I don't train in the mornings unfortunately mate, I'm at work during those times. Let me know how you get on though!

Last night's session:

Snatch
Worked up to 60 for about 6 singles. Didn't miss any on the warmups, missed about 3 on the singles, but technique was surprisingly good considering it's been a month.

CJ
Worked up to 90 for 5 singles. Missed two on the clean. The other three were good, receiving position was very upright by the end, happy with it. Jerks were decent as well.
