Are regional boundaries of more significance than National ones? The purpose of the comp. is to establish the most suitable candidate for WSM from Britain/UK. I know if I was starting out again I would be travelling all over the country to prove myself against these guy Regardless of North, South, Midlands, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, England, if you aren't competing against the guys on the list then you are not proving yourself against the best.

Bodypower and other such events provide a great platform for guys to make a name for themselves so if you arent doing that then you will never see your name on a list with these guys. Promoters have to do what they feel is right these are the best guys around at the moment, ok im sure we all would have our favorites we would like to see in their but it is a good list. Thats my 2 cents

Think maybe this is a problem for the Scots in getting the recognition they may deserve. Apart from Ken, I cant think of any guys that actually venture out of Scotland (UKs excluded) to compete! (I know Andys been injured a while) I've seen a fewer of the lighter guys (Lee compete in Northumberland....as has Snedz), but never seen a comp with Louis McLean, Goose or Cherry in South of the Scottish border

Member 870, 552 posts | Louis did a few champions leauge comps last yr also a few comps in ireland, cherry also did a team comp with Glen against Rob Jimmy Marku and a few others. Louis has been busy with other things but will probably get back into it this year. As for Cherry i agree he should promote himself better instead of waiting to be asked (shy bairns get no sweets). I know its not an excuse but guys have work commitments and things which could also get in the road.
