Im going to be without a gym for 1 week and want to bring a kettlebell with me so I can do kettlebell things.

If you could only have one kettlebell what weight would you get?

24kg - 16kg is a womens weight!

24 will be heavy enough for grind exercises but still good for swings

I've got sets up to 48kg and a 24kg is a good go to for most lifts. If light for grind type lifts (presses, TGU, etc) then do them all bottoms up

Anywhere from 16 to 24 depending on the type of movements you plan on doing (upper/lower body, strength/conditioning) and how proficient you are at those movements. I don't think you'll be doing a lot reps with a bottom-up 24, but that's just me. 16kg is also a good weight for KB juggling if you're starting out.

NEWS FLASH

I will now have access to a 10kg kettlebell as well. Thus changing the question, if you had access to a 10kg kettlebell and could get one additional one, what weight would you get? It cant be too heavy because I will also have to transport it almost the entire length of the country.

Also, thanks for the replies chaps.

Ps, should i get an argos catalogue as well?

Do you intend to hang the KB from your phallus, or in an even more sadistic turn, your ball satchel?

24kg is ok for swings and c+p. However 2x16 is better for squats, trusters etc and can be used for swings and press.

Also - try kettlebell hack squats as your squatting exercise... probably the best single kb squatting movement, for me. 24kg is surprisingly taxing.
