About 5 weeks to go until the Northwest benchpress champs at Olympic Sports Gym in Ashton-U-Lyne,October 3rd att 11am. You need to be a member of the GBPF to compete and first timers are very welcome as well as spectators and admission is free.
There was a great atmosphere last time and there's ample room in the warm up area and we thank Mark Clegg and his staff for welcoming us back again.
Please contact me at bevans5088@aol.com for further details or see the link on the competitions page.

Stephen manuel will be in the 90s and if he is finally sorting out his shirt he could give you a run for your money.

Sweet the more the merrier! I hope I get my ass handed to me on a plate because it will be the motivational push I need. So many people were right I shouldn't have quit benching for the 7 mnths.

Moz, weigh-in 9-10.30 lift off at 11am. I've not had an entry from Lukas but yes he can still lift if he pays on the day.

Bryn, you have done so before, buut can you clarify for me again why you couldnt lift as a guest and not a member of GBPF

GBPF would make a lot more money if they did this. The (non member) athlete could sign a SM style disclaimer form so insurance would not be an issue, and GBPF would make £15 from the entry fees of each guest

I would love to do the NW in Decemeber (as a guest) but certain rules mean I could not do so as a 'member'. I know others who are in a similar situation

Seems GBPF are loseing out on (potentially) a lot of cash and a lot more (non member guest) participants
