Scotbasher - forever Member 59, 2115 posts	On a personal level I found Peter Fiore to be a very nice bloke, I spent a week with him and the GB team in Denmark in 2003. I think the reason his proposed split failed was because he had not won the support of the whole powerlifting community and he did not make a great presentation at the AGM at Lilleshall. When split went ahead this time most people were for it and we had secured the IPF/EPF mandate.

Now im not trying to blame any one person for this i just struggle to see how a few national records not been updated seems to be more serious than our lifters not going to India...shoot me down like a bird from the sky if you wish but thats how it seems.

It is the right way to do things rather than slaggin people off on forums and such like. Like i said if anyone is not happy with anything i have done within the sport then say so and get rid of me. So there is your chance and bcak a few replies ago i was askin you just to be nice but it turned a bit so join up and take it your veiws to the agm and have your say there. I am happy for you to do that.

not particularly well educated Member 85, 10988 posts SQ 170, BP 130, DL 260 560.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq	This was discussed at the Farm tonight ,the people that new Ian were very suprised to hear he had been sacked and the concensus of opinion was that he was a very nice bloke who did a good job and that it seemed very strange that he has been sacked and yet no one seems to have been punished for the india visa cock ups! Apparently there is a gbpf agm in Grantham on the 17th April to vote in the new officers for the English powerlifting any gbpf members have a vote!
