Bodyweight- 100 kg in clothes + shoes

Bench Press (Volume Day):

50 kg x 5
70 kg x 5
85 kg x 5

97.5 kg x 5
97.5 kg x 5
97.5 kg x 5
97.5 kg x 5
97.5 kg x 8

Easy. That said the 8th rep on the last set, was one of my hardest bench reps ever!

Squat:

70 kg x 5
105 kg x 5
125 kg x 5
142.5 kg x 5

165 kg x 5
177.5 kg x 1

Unracked 165 a little low down my back, but just carried on and got the reps. 177.5 was about as difficult as the 170 I did 2 days ago Grin

Pendlay Row:

55 kg x 5
75 kg x 5
80 kg x 5
85 kg x 5
85 kg x 5

Pull ups:

BW x 9,9,9,9,8,6 (50 reps)

DB Preacher curl:

20 kg DB x 3 sets of 8 reps

I think my bench press numbers are a bit misleading as a gauge of my pressing power. I mean not not many 120 benchers can strict 92.5 kg. I'm still a pretty poor presser though Grin

Have you got a block to practise on?

Bodyweight no shoes in clothes: 98 kg Eek

Need to up my eating game

Strict Press:

40 kg x 5
52.5 kg x 5
62.5 kg x 5

80 kg x 3 fail 4
80 kg x 3

Pretty dissapointed, I wanted 80 x 5 (for a PB match). Did another triple to get a reasonable number of reps in.

Push Press:

60 kg x 3
80 kg x 3
90 kg x 3

102.5 kg x 1 fail 2

Again dissapointed, I wanted 102.5 x 3 for an =PB. Triceps just weren't playing ball today, 1st rep went easily enough, and 2nd I lost just before lockout. Might be the effects of 5 x 5 benching 2 days ago.

Standing Pin Press:

1 lower than last time, eye level this time

60 kg x 5
77.5 kg x 3

Could have grinded a couple more, but want to give my tri's a little break.

15.5" rack pulls:

(same height as I used to train for champions of the future in Jan-March)

70 kg x 5
120 kg x 5
160 kg x 5

Belt, mixed grip

200 kg x 2
220 kg x 5 (no hitching) = PB but more comfortable

Moved rack height to 6 inches above the knee:

200 kg x 1
250 kg x 1
280 kg x 1
300 kg x 1 Grin

Just wanted to see what I could grip without straps (mixed grip), couldn't hold onto 300 kg for long though!

Conclusion: s**t pressing, but OK deadlifts. As always lol

Bench Press:

50 kg x 5
70 kg x 5
90 kg x 5
102.5 kg x 1

115 kg x 2

Plan was for a double, maybe a triple if I was feeling strong. 2nd rep was harder than I would have liked so left it at a double. Plan is for 117.5 x 2 next week (PB match), and 122.5 x 1 the week after.

Squat:

70 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
122.5 kg x 5
145 kg x 5

167.5 kg x 5 = PB

185 kg x 1 = PB

185 was right on the limit, so didn't go any heavier today.

Power Clean:

50 kg x 3 + 1 split jerk
60 kg x 3 + 1 split jerk
70 kg x 3 + 1 pressed out split jerk
80 kg x 3

Chris turned up with his resistance bands, so did a couple of light squats, presses and push presses with them.

Pull ups:

BW x 9,9,9,9,9,5 (50 reps) PB

Facepulls: 3 sets

Got everything I wanted today, but I had to work for it! Really want a 190 squat soon

Bench Press (volume day):

50 kg x 5
70 kg x 5
85 kg x 5

100 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
100 kg x 6 - Volume PB

Squat:

70 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
125 kg x 5
147.5 kg x 5

170 kg x 3 fail 4 Angry

My lower back was feeling a bit fatigued before the workout, but I thought I would just work through it. Set up was good, psyched up well too and I wanted 5 reps. Will take another crack at this in 4 days, and then it will be time to switch squats to a volume day and an intensity day probably.

Pendlay Row:

62.5 kg x 5
82.5 kg x 5

87.5 kg x 6 PB
87.5 kg x 5

Pull ups:

BW x 9,10,10

Hyperextensions:

BW x 10
+30 kg dumbbell at top of chest x 10

EZ bar curls:

+20 kg x 6
+30 kg x 8
+30 kg x 6 and then a collar fell off Roll-Eyes
+30 kg x 7

Strength Tec today

Strict Press:

40 kg x 5
52.5 kg x 5
62.5 kg x 5

80 kg x 4

Did these outside lol as there aren't any racks tall enough indoors. Was on my own so struggled for motivation, but did better than last week.

Axle:

70 kg x powerclean + push press
70 kg x powerclean + strict press
70 kg x powerclean + 2 push press

All belt clean and push press from now, mixed grip

85 kg x fail clean
85 kg x 1C 2P
95 kg x 1C 2P
100 kg x 1C 1P. Floor to overhead PB

15" deadlift from blocks:

60 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
140 kg x 5
180 kg x 4
200 kg x 2

Warm ups felt heavy today and grip wasn't great either

Straps

225 kg x 4 fail 5

Was hitching the last rep, would have had it for an =PB but bizzarely I dropped it with straps

Keg loading:

55 kg to 56"
95 kg to 56"

95 kg to 63" fail, very close fail, and success Happy

Block clean and press:

80 kg x fail clean

Got some tips from rob

80 kg x clean fail press

Can clean it straight to my chest from the floor, but the press wasn't happening. I think its a great strongman event though

I train at a fairly low intensity mate. Normally 5-10 minutes rest before a heavy set. I do quite a lot of exercises too so I guess it adds up.

Gym sessions aren't normally that long, but events are lol. Normally have to eat during the workout.

60 kg x 2
65 kg x 2
70 kg x 2
75 kg x 2 (Pressed out)
70 kg x 2
72.5 kg x 1
77.5 kg x fail (would have been a press out)

What's your best jerk? It seems that you are better at push press and even strict press
