Rob | Most impressive lift seen in the flesh? | 25-08-2007 @ 12:37
Does f*ck all for SugdenBarbell.co.uk Member 1, 7173 posts SQ 182.5, BP 110, DL 205497.5 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq Administrator | What is the most impressive lift you have witnessed in person? I've seen a few really good ones.. Kokylaev 240 Clean and Jerk, 400 deadlift, 260x3 front squat. Bolton 460 WR attempt, Wightman 310 JWR and British Record bench. Big Steve 220 raw bench at Adders. I saw a few big squats at the BPC British but these don't tend to impress me as much as IPF lifts due to the equipment - I would have loved to see Henry's 440 squat. Overall, I would say Koklyaev's 400 deadlift was the thing which impressed me most in person - if I had known a little more about olympic lifting at the time then it would probably have been the 240 clean and jerk.
