This was my first attempt at 260kg deadlift i managed the 255kg two weeks previously unfortunately i failed this lift.

As you can see it gets to my knees relatively quick but once there it felt like i hit a wall and couldnt budge it.

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Don't look at your right hand during the lift?

If you want to pull like that loads of SLDL style stuff and work hard on a rotation of high block pulls and deficit pulls.

Heavy rows, SLDLs and 18" pulls.

Looks like you fail once your legs go straight, so the above will help.
Additionally it might be worth pulling your bum down a little further and trying to pull more as you lift so you hips come through earlier.

A vid from the side would be worth posting next time Happy

Bloody fast off the floor fella Grin

Judging by your speed off the floor, you have a wedge shape on your force curve.
Have a read of this: http://www.reactivetrainingsystems.com/articles/training-artic...

Adding more sets and reps will give you more time under tension in your weak range.

Also you might change what your head is doing. I'm trying to learn to let my head go back during the lift as it helps keep my weight back. I find when my head stays down my weight stays forward. Might be worth a consideration.

Just to be clear dont stop pulling if the floor. Just add in some specific assistance work. Plus dont decide to so everything heavy as poss each week. Gradually build in the additional pulling movements. Depends hoe often you fan train and the rest of your training as to howmany hard pulling movements you can run at one time. Id prob start by adding some hard 14-18" pulls and lighter sldl. You should be doing hard upper back work anyway

That's a good read and fits well with Stephen I think, reps reps reps Grin

It shows well with strongman event deads for reps. You see some people grind out 3 or 4 reps when they are nearly done, yet me I can't seem to grind 2 out!
