That's some good pressing there mate, especially with the bands, looked rock solid which isn't easy with bands

He has indeed started posting again, just hope he ,manages more than 2 sessions this time Grin

I feel strong at the moment and the niggle are somewhat minimal. That's a top result in my book. I've narrowed my focus to basically squats and press, everything else is assistance. Pretty sure my squat will overtake my deadlift at some point.

That is always a plus, lack of niggles along with consistent training does lead to good results.
That would be good if squat goes past deadlift as your deadlift is none too shabby. Plus the increase in squat might carry over to the deadlift as well. So would be nothing but wins then

What's up sir?
Hope all is well!
Pressing and holding stable for a couple 3-5 seconds on the top is what I do too. Squats look good also. Bending some 40d twisted shank nails at work tomorrow to entertain my friends at lunch tomorrow and thought I'd tell you for some reason.

Cheers mate, reps are coming up which can only mean good things. I need to be regularly repping 100 but last time I pushed it too fast and made mistakes. This time I'm taking it slower and getting it right (well fingers crossed). The heaviest I've been able to lockout (with a push press) is 125kg. I'm approaching that with band resistance now.

Hi Billy, I'm all good mate. I have a problem with stability at the top of the press, hence the holds. Has this helped your stability?

I haven't bent a nail in a while now although I have plenty ready to go. It's always a crowd pleaser and a great party trick.

BB Curls
10kg x 60 reps
10kg x 40 reps

Front Squat
70kg x 3 reps
90kg x 3 reps
120kg x 3 reps --A bit too heavy right now. I think I should work with 70kg and build up. Clearly a lot of work to do as I'm piss poor at these but considering it's been years that's not a bad starting point. My plan is to do warm up reps on my main squat day and on there own before deadlifts.

Squat
140kg x 3 reps
160kg x 3 reps
--Belt on
180kg x 6 reps
180kg x 6 reps
180kg x 6 reps

YTWL's
5x5

As do I mate, think that's why I "forgot" about them. Quads need the love though.

I noticed the YTWLs in you log. The guys at work do them now as well. I've setup a station in a storage room and we all have a go. After the first session no-one could move the next day lol. I do more than I log, tbh I've no idea how many it is, probably double what I record. Slightly addicted to the burn and pump now.

I need more reps mate, this will be assistance and mass work. Quads like reps so that's what I'll give them. Slowly but surely though. Something like sets of 10-15 reps. For 4-5 sets. Even with something light I will feel that.

I've been watching a lot of videos by the Boss. He recommends reps in the 5-8 range. Therefore I'll work with 90kg for 8 reps, 4-5 sets.

That will mean I'm squatting in some way 3 times a week. Should be good.

Monday 19th March 2018

Woke up this morning feeling weak as a kitten and with a pounding migraine. Almost sacked it off but decided to see if I'd feel any better once I got moving.

A1 Trap Bar Rows
bar x 10 reps
65kg x 10 reps
75kg x 10 reps
80kg x 10 reps
80kg x 10 reps

A2 Dead Press
bar x 6 reps
60kg x 6 reps
70kg x 6 reps
80kg x 6 reps
90kg x 1 rep --Reps just weren't happening so I sacked them off. Lets call this a deload and hit them next week instead.
100kg x 1 rep
--Belt on
105kg x 1 rep --Slight sticking point near lockout, otherwise easy.

A3 Kneeling Rollouts
x6 reps
x6 reps
x6 reps
x6 reps
x6 reps

A4 Squat
70kg x 3 reps
120kg x 3 reps
160kg x 2 reps
180kg x 1 rep
200kg x 1 rep
200kg x 1 rep --Too deep, hit the bars. Only 1 more rep but I achieved my goal of squatting 200kg on a Monday. I just need to steadily increase the reps.

YTWL's
5x5
