Some awesome sessions mate, benching that much while fatigued is good going and 260 deads EMOM, just plain wrong Happy

I think the workouts will do you some good mentally, sounds like they are. Need to concentrate when you have that much weight to lift so life's issues fade away usually during a session and you end up better off in the end.

Good session today....shoulder really not playing ball to begin with but all ok in the end.

Morning BW - 99.1kg

Paused Bench - B Session

60kg x 15
80kg x 15
100kg x 5
120kg x 2
shoulder really not firing so spent 10 minutes mobility on it and boom...back on it...
120kg x 2
120kg x 2
125kg x 2
125kg x 2
125kg x 2
127.5kg x 2
130kg x 2
140kg x 2

Decent enough after I sorted shoulder out, just wasn't firing on first work set, once I got some movement back in there all moved well enough today. Banged out quickly..all about speed in these sessions.

Strict Press

Bar x 10
40kg x 10
60kg x 3
70kg x 1
80kg x 1
92.5kg x 1 current pb
85kg x 2 current rep pb
82.5kg x 2
80kg x 3
60kg x 10

Pleased here...top set of 92.5kg moved well enough, form coming back slowly, 100kg closing in again.

Push Press

80kg x 5
100kg x 1
110kg x 1 current pb
115kg x ff
100kg x 3

Wanting to get these moving again for a change...massively out of practice as not done in anger in many months but fatigued 110kg moved well enough...115kg very nearly went, couldn't quite lock it as strength endurance had gone but no doubt I have it fresh. I think 114.5kg was my best ever so not far from an all time overhead pb.

Wide Grip Behind Head Smith Press - 90 sec rests

60kg x 8
60kg x 8
60kg x 8
60kg x 8 vol pb

Shoulders really blew up...done with a constant bb style tension and the burn was crazy.

Shoulder Press Machine - 90 sec rests

50kg x 8
45kg x 8
45kg x 8
40kg x 10

This machine is brutal..put constant tension on the delts and the burn was sickening...could only manange piddly weights by this point...shoulders dead!

Machine Preacher Curls - 90 sec rests

75kg x 8 rep pb
60kg x 12 rep pb
50kg x 12
50kg x 10 vol pb

Strength continuing to rocket on these...biceps really growing like never before...2 reps up on 75kg and biceps were stupidly pumped..veins in arms popping all over.

Landmine Side Laterals - 60 sec rests

2.5kg + Bar x 12
2.5kg + Bar x 12
2.5kg + Bar x 12

So painful and so much more effective than dumbbells...done again with a constant tension and the burn in all 3 delt muscles was horrific... massively painful.

And that was that..limited things a tad today as I have a big session due tomorrow so wanted to save energy slightly for squats and 12" deads. Pleased with how things are going. Osta definitely helping now..in a very slight calorie deficit and starting to lean out but BW holding out around 99-100kg...1 week.

Looking good mate, loads of volume with decent weight. I think with more efficient force transfer you push press numbers will fly.

funny you say landmine laterals work well for you. Landmine twists seem to hit my lateral delts hard, a nice side effect.

Had an immense session today...I was tbh already feeling battered from the weeks training but had a mate maxing out his squats and I fed off of his intensity and smashed a great session.

12" Deadlifts

60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 5
180kg x 5
220kg x 1
260kg x 1
280kg x 1
315kg x 1 PB
280kg x 3 rep PB
260kg x 5

Went well...really wasn't feeling it until the 260kg and then it all clicked. 315kg is a 5kg pb and it moved ok, tbh 280kg after felt heavier lol but had a decent triple...possible 4th there but enough for today when feeling a bit beat up.

Squats - BOX REMOVED!!

60kg x 5
80kg x 5
100kg x 5
120kg x 5
140kg x 8
140kg x 8

Dropped a little weight down and removed box..need to get used to it not being there...tbh my back was feeling it and so was a good move but these moved ok..all simple enough...dropped the 5x5 for now while I bed in the no box squatting...want more reps and less sets for now...coan style I guess. A decent start back but squats not currently a priority, if I can keep them creeping up with the new style all is good.

Machine Deadlifts

120kg x 5
160kg x 5
200kg x 5
240kg x 5
280kg x 1
300kg x 1 = PB
320kg x 1 PB
330kg x 1 PB
340kg x 1 PB and more there

Was planning on doing sets up to 240 max but they were flying. If I do get in this comp there is a car deadlift even and this is the most similar set up I have so will be getting some of these in. Fresh I think I may have close to 400kg on them...bloody good fun today!

And that was that...back, lats, abs, quads, hams and glutes all feeling pretty trashed so left it there...very very pleased with that little lot, another great training week. 3 hour drive tonight will be fun lol but then a weekend of rest and relaxation and some nice food Happy

Cheers mate...yes that was the first time I've push pressed in a year so bloody rusty lol! Need to refine it!

Never done landmine twists...will have to try.

Lol... No they are completely flat mate with a very thin sole... I squat and deadlift in them mate. I prefer a flat sole now I'm low bar.

Ok first session of the week, press day 1. Shoulder feeling half ok today...

Paused Bench

60kg x 15
80kg x 10
100kg x 5
127.5kg x 5
127.5kg x 5
127.5kg x 5
127.5kg x 5
127.5kg x 5
130kg x 5
tng
100kg x 20 rep pb
100kg x 12
100kg x 10

Pleased with that... best ever 5x5 was a brutal 125kg...127.5kg 5x5 felt easy so did an extra set at 130kg and still moved ok, last couple of reps a bit slower but all feeling well on point, hoping I can get to 140kg+ 5x5 before I have to drop to 4's. Decided on a little rep work after and hit 20 reps on 100kg for first time ever, fairly comfy too, next 2 sets I died off a bit but rounded off a good bench session.

Pec Dec - 90 sec rests

84kg x 15 rep pb
84kg x 14
84kg x 10
84kg x 8 total rep/weight pb

Strength upped on these too, form bang on and chest targeted nicely. Been getting comments on how my chest is improving...this is good as chest is a very weak muscle for me.

Machine Preacher Curls - 90 sec rests

80kg x 5 rep pb
65kg x 8
55kg x 12
drop
40kg x 12
drop 30kg x 15

Decent increases again, biceps really filling out very well and this movement is a big part of that.

Seated Dead Press

60kg x 5
70kgx 5
80kg x 2
90kg x 1

Chucked these in to see where they are at as not done in well over 18 months I think. All moved fairly well despite heavy fatigue from benching. May do a few more at some point.

Left it there as I have a big 5x5 dead session tomorrow followed by squats and accessories so being sensible with my total volume. All moved nicely today and all very comfortable but pb's too so well on the right track.
