Yeah i suppose its not a bad thing really but its strength i cant use and would get injured if i did so have to be careful. Both comps got moved forward so that didnt help but that basically whats happened each time ive tried to come back to strongman. I can shift the weights but then get injured doing so as body isnt conditioined to actually doing it.

Becca's went really well, floor speed was similar to the 230kg total she pulled 2 weeks back and block pulls massively improved since then. ME bit s**t speed, but just glad to get it done as couple days before tried to do some pressing and body was like lolz f**k off. Massage was brutal last Sunday, still very much beat up from it. I do feel it's helped a lot though, can actually feel my lower back now so can start to build it back up as definitely very weak now and upper back / traps feel way less restricted. Negatives felt relatively comfy at 280, will be doing 3 sets of 300 next time and 300 total off the floor. Going to change the block height by standing on the deficit board, get it a bit more below the knee. Wanted Becca to push the block pulls and she ended up not doing the negatives this time, will be 3 sets of 250kg next time for her and 260kg total single. This was the biggest jump of the prep, just up 10kg every 2 weeks now so hopefully be alright from here on though is some big squats to do also.

I've not been on here in ages! Last we debated you was to do 10 reps with 300kg or something, did you win this bet with whoever it was and did they pay up?

I think the total raw total for a female is 772; do you honestly think she would do this?
Even if she had a 300kg squat/deadlift, she'd have to bench 172+... how would you expect her lift breakdown to look for attempting this?

What are her legit best lifts that would pass in a comp? I didn't think even you was near that total or is she stronger than you now with all the work?

Just watch the videos as for who's stronger etc can't remember what happened with that but don't think there was a bet but definitely found deadlifting tougher than expected since taking gear etc my glass back has just not cooperated, though for the most part I've just not been lifting heavy other than pressing, focusing much more on coaching Becca or gripsport.

I don't see why she couldn't do that total in the future it would just depend on injuries and how much she wanted to do it. Neither of us have done powerlifting lifts. Plans for this training cycle have her top out at 245kg ssb for 3, me at 305kg for 3, her deadlift 230kg + 50kg bands / 300kg eccentrics, mine 280kg + 50kg of bands / 365kg eccentrics. Neither of us bench normally, I think I did 150kg for 8 close grip last cycle. Her maybe around the same with 100kg but this is always after everything else. Powerlifting isn't really in the thought process at the moment to be honest.

If she hits them thats some legit awesome stuff mate! Whats the next big event for you guys? The push/pull?

Yeah she's really strong bud, she got 7th place at last years worlds strongest woman with a terrible chest infection, hardly any prep etc

The push/pull in December yeah, proper prep starts next week.

Felt totally wrecked last night, have pretty much felt wrecked since that massage the other week but yeah sore knees, didnt really want to put much into the squats an the 245 wasnt a challenge or anything but i feel like if i go up to planned 305kg it's just going to be too much load for the spine recovery wise so think ill try switching mine to front squats, maybe go for 275 i dont know, something lighter obviously. Becca doesnt seem to be having any recovery issues, she felt fine and hit her 200's comfortably, 215's next for her.

If it comes with decent depth a 275 front squat would be impressive.

I don’t want to come in here and spread negativity, but you know as well as I do - there was a bet. You lost and didn’t pay. There was then a massive thread/discussion about it that has clearly been erased from your memory.

FWIW I’m not bothered about it, but you should know that if you had won, I would have paid up.

Thanks. Yeah that was for a 130 log at 90 (90 hahaha) but i injured my shoulder the week after so couldnt train at all for it which was why i didnt pay you as i didnt feel that was fair and wouldnt have asked for the money the other way around personally. I did end up donating the money to a better cause though if you remember.

I dont really care much about depth in training to be honest but yeah it would prob be more impressive than doing 305 on the back i suppose. Should be able to do something like that for a triple i would expect judging off last time i squatted heavy but f**k knows, havent front squatted in like 2 years of something.
