Friday

Cycle workout 45 mins

Average 143 (tired)

max 172 (legs getting stronger!)

Then

Crossfit

Strength

(5 false grip ring pull ups
5 reps press lay down on the bench)

x 4

Up to 110kg x 4 bench beast

Then deadlifts at 75% or 140kg

[ (30 seconds hold handstand hold then 4 deadlifts and for the remainder of that 90 seconds perform wall balls)
30 second rest ]

x 8 rounds

Score is total wall balls

I got 119 which was the heaviest and highest of the box so far... Which is normal for me on things like this as strangely some things are great for me and others I am really poor technically

The sets looked like this

14 17 16 12 14 15 17 14

On Friday i also did a fitness class and nailed another 700 calories and had my heart rate at an average of 130bpm which is okay all things considered

Friday night through to Sunday morning is carb loading in the form of liquid bread mostly...

I'm doing the Manchester 10km and had raised over £1,200 for good causes... I'm taking a large group of like minded people with me too

I'm unsure whether to do this event in fancy dress now...

To be honest after the first 50 meters I knew I wasn't going to win the race so I was always against it.

Well done on the 10K Phil, and on breaking the magic hour barrier.

I did a couple of the MC 10Ks and didn't like them. Nice course, weather, people, atmosphere. Just didn't like it (That makes me sound like an Adams(No Fester jokes)).

Out of the Adams family you most look like Fester... And that's no joke!

Most of the people I was running with had put in a faster time that they could do so that nobody would get it there way I guess... Meaning that for most of the run I was overtaking.

Not necessarily to take away from the event and I wouldn't change anything and I would rather that people were getting in my way than I was holding others up so I don't wish I had put in a bulls**t time. However there's no denying that it was impossible for me to win the race just simply due to the fact I was in the wrong wave.

The Manchester I do as a bit of an event in the sense that it's the best City in the world and based on that alone you just do it.

Personally I think the route is the s**test it could be I would love to use the ring road or run through Moss side or even towards a bit of greenery
