Mr.Potato deadlift Member 2675, 4632 posts SQ 300, BP 200, DL 300800.0 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | Training 21/2/18 Still watching my adductor which I only pulled on Sunday Deadlift Up to 140kg sumo which I decided to leave there and carry on conventional as it didn’t really hurt Conventional Straps on 140kg x 2 180kg x 1 220kg x 1 Belt on 240kg x 1 Left it there as I could just start to feel my adductor again and didn’t want to risk hurting it. No pain but it didn’t feel right Lat pull down 40kg x 10 50kg x 10 60kg x 10 70kg x 10 80kg x 10 Close grip pull down 50kg x 10 60kg x 10 70kg x 10 75kg x 6 | ||

I could feel it in every set. It wasn’t painful but if I went to any considerable weigh, maybe 140 or 180 it would have gone. It didn’t feel so bad in the Olympic stance where the emphasise is taken off the adductor. I’ll plod on with my recovery. 8 weeks out from comp lol. 3 days rest now | ||

Olympic style squat 160kg x 1 180kg x 1 100kg x 5 100kg x 5 - back wide stance Notes I had physio in the morning and we worked on my adductor a bit. It’s stoll not 100% but I worked up to the 140kg in my normal stance with no pain. I’m hoping for a decent deadlift session later in the week and hopefully go over 200 with squats next week. 7 weeks and 6 days out haha. I’ve had another long work week. My fifth 12 hour shift in a row and it looks like i’ll be in again tomorrow to make it another 72 hour week. It’s hard work managing these injuries working so much recently | ||

My new training routine is either going to be 3, 4 or 5 days a week. One squat, with front squat added in there if wanted, one bench and one deadlift. The other sessions will all be accessory. No compound lifts on those days anymore to give my body a break. Dumbbell bicep curl 10kg x 10,10,10,10 Hammer curl 10kg x 10,10,10,10 Lat pull down 70kg x 10 80kg x 10 85kg x 10 Close grip pull downs 60kg x 10 70kg x 10 80kg x 10 Dumbbell skull crushers 5kg x 10 10kg x 10,10,10 Bent arm lat raises 10kg x 10,10,10 | ||

Adductor didn’t feel right 100% after the warm up and could feel slightly on all wide stance squats. It didn’t hurt but I could feel it enough to know it isn’t right. I can push the Olympic style a bit more as it obviously doesn’t use so much of the adductor. 7 weeks out today lol. We go on... | ||

The working weight was 265kg this week which was good to catch up to but I obviously cut the reps down to 1 to not overdo it | ||
