I use lifters for squats/overhead/stones. For moving events I use running shoes and fine them great but I know a lot of guys like shoes with a really thin sole for moving events

Oly shoes for squat, stones or overhead.
Climbing shoes for truck pulls.
Basketball shoes for pretty much everything else.

I never gave it much consideration. Cheap trainers, plus rock climbing shoes for pulls (think I only ever used them a couple of times).

For yolk, I'd want something that's easy to clean and a non-slip sole.

For yoke, I'd go ankle support and a non-slip sole. Magnums are great, as are work boots.
