Hello everyone! I recently qualified for the AWPC Bench only world champs. However my shoulder is and has been for some time ..completely f**ked.
I believe it's rotator cuff related and am doing physio type stuff which does help during day to day life but when it comes time to train the pain is pretty heavy.
I have no intention of pulling out under any circumstances but is there anything beyond ibuprofen I could consider?? Remember I'm ABPU lol! Any input would be HUGELY appreciated lads!
Thankyou

Obviously sensible advice would be not to risk pushing anything too much in case you get worse injury. But....

Have you been to see a sports physio / sports therapist/ osteopath etc to get diagnosis and specific exercises? Sometimes shoulder issues.can.be caused by something else indirectly e.g. a tightness in traps causing shoulder to be pulled up.and pec minor pulling it forwards making impingement worse.

I always find diclofenac better than ibuprofen but needs prescription to obtain 'properly'

In terms of keeping training going could try some different grip widths for some of the volume work. E.g.close grip to a board, but depends where weaknesses are and how bad pain is whether it's worth trying.

Could try a hot shower before training to help loosen up. I never found much benefit from icing shoulders for rotator cuff niggles but might help if it's musclular.

Lots of general prehab / rehab shoulder exercises out there too

No worries - best of luck with it, should be a lot of fun with Emma and Kalle running it!
