Events for my comp are: Axle 240 dead for reps (no suit) Farmers for 40m with a turn (120kg) 200kg squat for reps 135kg stone for reps There is a heavier category too and I know the organiser is after competitors - get involved! It's only in Leigh and mid Sept so plenty of time to train! My mate is head chef / part owner of The Hinds Head. The food there is top notch! Will definitely be going for a Sunday roast soon... Trained this morning: Front squat up to 127.5kg X 3 Axle jerk off blocks up to 106kb X 3 Then a bit later went to David Lloyd... Deadlift up to 180kg X 5, 5 CGBP 105kg X 5, 5, 5 Then a fair bit of assistance, including 95kg incline bench for 8. | ||

The gym is also on as 'Break the Bar' strongman gym - if you haven't already trained there you need to - it's immense! (I'll be going on Saturday if you fancy it). | ||

Did axle jerks first - 101kg X 2, then 106kg X 1f2. Shoulders were sore from Monday. Then I went to squat, but stopped after 150kg X 2 as it felt ridiculously heavy and my rib was hurting.Then I went to David Lloyd and did some bodybuilding, including CGBP - 100kg X 8, 8, 8. Disappointed with training this week. Must make up for it on Saturday! | ||

My shoulders were very sore from the last few jerk sessions, but loosened up a bit as the session went on.I did: 110kg X 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 115kg X 1 120kg X 1 Andy did 135kg in trainers. He hasn't done jerks for 6 months! | ||
