Ah man that's s**t. Sorry to hear that mate. I like your positive attitude though, you can always get something done. I've probably mentioned this before but check out Ben Bruno, he has knee issues when he squats and so has come up with all sort of stuff to work around it, very useful.

Hope it feels better soon mate.

Cheers gents ill definitely find a way to work around it.

Squats/front squats/ hack squats and there variants are all out and so are lunges for the time being.

Im going to up my gym sessions to twice a week i know light weight leg press is ok along with leg extensions and curls they also have kettle bells.

My knee has been sore as s**t today stairs have been particularly painful.

lol iv been conservative with the weight selection to see how my knee holds up but ill use this as the starting point and hopefully my knee strengthens with it.

It held up good mate, i think depth had a lot to play with it when i was in the hole thats when my knee would give out i dont get that range of motion with the leg press.

I would like to add in lunges eventually and in maybe 10-12 weeks see if squatting is possible, if that doesnt work then that will be it i wont squat again.

I think you're right mate, I get issues when I go too deep, your lose stability and get knee wiggle and things get hurt. If they cause you more problems then benefits then ditch them. Just not worth getting hurt over. Nothing stops progress like an injury.

Couldn't agree more mate iv had more than enough of them and don't fancy having any more long term ones.
