I want to know what your thoughts are on these rankings. I didn't make them, but I do know Competitors and promoters outside of the USA were contacted to consult on this list.

Surprised that there are no Ukrainians / Russians in the -105 class though.

I would say lack of exposure, try finding results from there comps or even them competing much outside of there home country. That is something these rankings will help with, it should motivate promoters to post results so we can objectively look at ranking athletes.

True, I suppose, but it's not that easy for some athletes to travel to other countries what with visas / politics etc.
How come Ed Hall is above Terry Hollands? Hollands was the best Brit at WSM 2014 as far as I remember.
Still, as little as I know about -105 strongman, it looks a bit US heavy in that division. What about the 2103 Worlds that took place in Finland?
What are the criteria for these rankings?

Agreed on most points, the 105's are the hardest class to keep track of as once anyone gets a little success they want to jump to opens I blame Hixxy!!!

I think the heavyweights are wrong. I took 5th at wsm so I'm 5th in the world, simple as that

I tend to agree with you Terry and would have you higher myself, But i think it's based on a Average of National/international/World level comps. Say Thor gets 2nd at WSM, but gets 8th at the Arnold, then places 5th at euros(no injury). You place 5th at worlds, but win The Arnold and Euros, Should Thor still be ranked ahead of you when you won 2 out of 3 meetings? I think this rankings discussion will be great for strongman, Look at Fifa Football there are hours and hours of programs dedicated to talking about the matches to build up hype.

Okay, eddie beat me at Britain's when I was only going at 80% as wsm was 3 days later apart from that I've not been beaten by him ever. I agree Arnolds and Europe's should come into the equation, I competed in neither and Ed only did one event of Europe's. Lalas has only done Arnolds and missed wsm and got injured at europes

Agreed chances could be made, I just think it's a first ranking, going forward we will have more data and after next years WSM/Arnold new rankings will come out, i think all this will work itself out... Don't feel bad Terry I think i'm number #1 also Wink

I know I'm not number one but I don't agree I should be 7 based on results in major comps. I placed 7th at wsm in 2012 when I did 4 events and 7th in 2013 when again I got injured.

After 7 months off heavy lifting I'm not even strongest in my gym so I shouldn't worry haha
