Rich Williams pressed a pair of inches from suspended at Sorinex circa 2008. However he also failed to clean a pair of 132lb 'light' inches.

Lost his pen, then found his pen. #phew Member 4899, 2956 posts | I can't think of many times I've seen "normal" 172lb dumbells cleaned and pressed simultaneously - as the Burke video proves, you'd have to be seriously concerned with your noggin.

Fewer events, basic moves (off the ground, over the head, heavy carries), two days instead of ten. Short and extremely heavy, essence of strongman. I wish that Mr. Todd had never removed stone and had never added straps in timber carry.

Too many guys injure at this event. They should bring back the axle, reps or max. Axle press was a classic event. After Shaw's bicep injury at 2012 there hasnt been a competition WSM, ESM, ASM with axle press. ASM is my favourite competition of the year.
vigor5 | ... | 24-01-2017 @ 21:57
Member 2492, 78 posts | People also injure on cleaning the axle, on carrying 700 kg on their back, Lalas has seriosly injured his triceps during log press... It's extremely heavy competition with existing risks.

End of an era. Member 4646, 1964 posts | Post Edited: 25.01.2017 @ 19:36 PM by Mikeneto I prefer Arnold's as well. If Eddie was doing it this year there would be massive 'discussion' on him vs Shaw in deadlift...Him vs Z in log....His weight going into the competition.I think Radz might beat Z in the log. Only person close to Shaw in the deadlift is Thor and he will have to find 30kg
