Using the beautiful YouTube find the best competition you've saw in real life and then just one you think will blind me with overexposure to sheer awesomeness and attractiveness

I could be a local friendly or a crossfit comp... Doesn't have to be a Bulgarian or Korean triple Bodyweight pocket rocket

I look forward to some videos to watch... Whoever put the 1999 69kg men's worlds had excellent choice although Antalya tend to put on a better show

So many to choose from!

Probably 1996 Olympics Dimas and Kakhi, and of course 64kg Leonidis vs Naim! 1999 World was a fantastic year in all classes to be honest, well worth a watch. 1998 Worlds had some quality lifting, 69 77 94s.

For a one man performance, 1990 Worlds for Botev, and Zlatan Vanev 2002 Worlds, classic stuff, miles behind then bosh, massive clean and jerk for the win!

I like Calancea

Great lifter just a shame he busted his arm a couple of time

Very typically Romanian in his lifting style and immensely strong to boot

Had a very up and down career. World medals about 10years apart and not much in between! I like his lifting though. Now coach for Moldova.

Al most all weightlifting enthusiasts are Dimas fans

I was very pleased for Azinadze taking gold at his last comp against Dimas.

Extremely well deserved

Dimas is obviously brilliant but I've just never really been a great fan, not sure why.

One of the best demonstrations of weightlifting was Akkaev vs Klokov in the 2011 worlds for me.

Loved watching the drama of Dave Mercer getting his bronze at the 84 Olympics too.

Many years ago I recall Vlad winning gold with his first C & J and breaking a world record with his second. Seriously impressive, all the others I forgot, that I remembered.

Would have loved to have been there to see that one. I remember watching it on World of Sport (or Grandstand) on a Saturday afternoon.

He is kind of a "default" favourite for everyone, I am not a massive fan myself, but that performance at the Olympics was just tremendous, him at his peak, the look side to side, and then Huster nailing a world record and being pleased as punch. All the time knowing they are good friends is the icing on the cake! With Dimas, it is more the character than the actual lifting. He is probably one of the most famous faces in Greece and an inspiration for me on many levels, one day when I meet him I will have a massive fanboy moment and probably not be able to talk.

You....lost for words.....I doubt that very much!! Wink Grin

That vid of the Suleymanoglu/Leonidis battle was epic. I'm glad I didn't know the outcome already (I'd presumed Suley won, but you never know).
