oh and just to make you feel even better according to facebook a 47kg (7 stone something) girl just deadlifted more than me and you are at the moment at the ipf worlds.

Haha...the IPF Worlds makes almost everyone look feeble in comparison. Some very strong folk exist!

Is all this training leading up to a particular competition, or are you just trying to get stronger then chose your competition? If you want a particular competition thenb the masters comp in Horncastle on December 3rd would be a good one. I think trying to get to lift in NW comps is harder than getting tickets for Glastonbury.

Hi bill !! I am hoping to compete later this year and would consider the Horncastle comp - I will have to rely on my wife 'computering' on my behalf to get my entry for the NW comp (which I have been told sell out quickly) .... and with 3 annoying kids bothering her, she may f**k it up !!

thanks for the heads up, I will make a note of it.

EDIT: what actual comp in Dec ? I cant find any info.

I'd assumed you'd need a QT for the Masters in Horncastle as per usual.

ah !! this is the comp that forced the cancelation of the Christmas spectacular !! then I'm not even close to the qualifying standard.

Really? You may well be right, thinking about it. But a qualifying total to get into a qualifying comp. I thought this was a masters comp, not THE nationals.

If I'm understanding correctly, it -is- the nationals; we're having a second one this year because the euro matters has changed (or something like that). But I may be wrong.

got 2 nice competition style kettlebells today , 24's ...swings deffo cant be rushed into as my lower back felt these 'all them little muscles n stuff'
