I think dave grohl is a rep talent and has so much stage presence. Foo Fighers are definitely one of the greatest bands period

Disturbed and wu tang clan. Occasionally I'll bump some steps or Dolly Parton

Oh man this guy gets it!! Plini. Perhaps you would also enjoy Chon

Missed this before...

I thought I would love Chon and in gutted that I didn't. I should try again. I also can't get into Animals As Leaders, they're scary and amazing but I just can't process it or something. Doesn't work for me.

Some people I did like who Plini reminds me of:

Sithu Aye (check this guy out for sure)
Polyphia (not as much rhythmic interest but very melodic, crazy shredding, and the fact they look like a boy band amuses me)

But yeah, Plini. Most exciting guitarist to emerge since Govan imo, and for me a better composer than anybody in instrumental guitar since Vai appeared. Saw him live earlier in the year and it was just staggering.

Not entirely coincidentally, my couple of JEMs have been joined by a couple of Strandbergs Happy.

That is an absolutely wonderful collection of guitars!

Perhaps you listened to the wrong Chon album. Im not a massive fan of the latest one but the album "grow" is just fantastic. I think with this type of music there is a very fine line between loving it and hating it.

I listen to Hip Hop. East Coast hardcore stuff - none of this godforesaken, skinny jeans, mumble rap.

And heavy rock - Truck Fighters, Electric Wizard, that sort of thing.

When I am driving to my mum's basement, I like to have a sing along to Absolute Radio.

But I never listen to music in the gym.

I agree.

I go to a few Psychobilly and post punk festivals every year out of habit. Mostly go to idm or experimental electronic stuff in Dublin. I play doublebass and synths so kind of a double hobby.
