best squat routines?

looking to run one of the various squat routines that you hear about, but im not familiar with the pros and cons of the different ones. my training partner uses 'smolov' with great success but im not sure i could fit it into my training as he says its a 4 day a week plan, and i train strongman on saturdays so i cant use that day and i usually have friday off for obvious reasons.

There are two types of people in this world...

One type are the people who have done the Russusn squat routine... Many have done it multiple times. It is a life skill and rite of passage.

I know a lot of people who've tried it. The number who actually finished it is far, far less.

Ran RSP twice and had great results each time! Never felt like I wouldn't finish it though-apart from the 6x6 day

I did the Masters RSR a couple of yeas ago and it worked well. Just taxing enough to recover from and made some decent gains in 6-weeks from it (~10kg)

I've not Phil. I only discovered it due to Milsy repeating it time and time again and getting great results. At age 36 at the time I don't think my body would have dealt with the non-masters program too well.

Masters takes 9 weeks to complete though??

I would also recommend the Masters version.

Does it? Ahhh, must just have forgotten. It seems like a lifetime ago when I was young(er) and not so broken! Grin

Was defo the masters version I did as I was only squatting twice a week.
