According to the website there would appear to be sixteen masters two lifters in there. Awful lot for one flight. Some would say too many.

The rules say it's too many as well.

Page 24: http://www.powerlifting-ipf.com/fileadmin/data/Technical_Rules... suggests that the maximum is in fact 14 (for some reason I thought it was 15).

Bearing this in mind it is very unlikely that there will actually be 16 lifters in one flight. Fear not young Pete!

I am old and fat. There would be a very real danger of me falling asleep between lifts

I cant tell you much about pete, but i can tell you that Terry O'Neill was bombed out on the squat for 3 legal squats, ill try and post a video on here soon. but the judging was a joke, took it to appeal with the jury which was a waste of time.

i have been lifting a long time, and i may not be an " ipf cat 1 " judge, but i am a lifter who knows and undestands the rules..

Malc, I got a text from Kev saying he'd won for the 6th consecutive time, but with his lowest ever total. I guess a win is a win though.

I was in the worst possible position to judge anybody's squats, as I was spotting for every squat over both days, so I think it best if I make no comment on whether or not I agreed with any particular decision. It certainly wasn't a bombfest in general, though.

Adlington lifters: Pete did not lift. Val had difficulties with her shirt and came second, narrowly. Andy K lifted well - I think he medalled. Mark Taylor won the M1 110s with his final pull Grin.

Bryn did an extraordinary job organising, as did a clearly ill Bullock as platform manager. Huge work done by the loaders (I got off pretty lightly really!), of whom I think I should especially mention Andy Littler and Mick Ashurst, who spotted despite not being powerlifters (currently at least Wink), the ever-tireless and hugely efficient Marie and Sue (who broke 14 records in the first flight of Saturday and then spotted without a break for the rest of the day and until midday Sunday!), and Andy Gregory, who was barely off the platform on either day despite also being ill.

I believe we did ourselves proud Grin.
