Also z won power stairs the last time they was in the final I believe when Lalas came 2nd. Thor is only good at light stones...stones got heavier this year so not surprising.

The 200kg stone he easily loaded at europes would disagree

still the statically "strongest" ever didn win any f**kin event
and shaw still cant press his bodyweight

He's the worlds strongest man, not a cross fitter. Why would shaw need to press his own bodyweight?

No thats not true.2012 Thor won the power stairs and he stumbled which cost him time.
zydrunas came in second and then shaw.

Z is obviously nursing some kind of injury or problem. He seemed to be going very slowly, but didn't appear to be at the limit as there was no hithcing at the top. Not the first time he's had issues (2013 WSM and evident at Arnold this year).

I suspect he has to be careful at Super Yoke as well if it is a lower back problem.

Not taking anything away from Shaw. Even with Z at his best I think it would be very close between those two.

If he really did have a lower back problem do you not think he would have struggled on power stairs and heavy stones.

I can't see how anyone with a significant back problem could finish second over 6 events that were ridiculously back dominated.

I said:For Gods sake, would you guys give over with the Big Z excuses.

He has lost plenty of times before. People are acting surprised Shaw beat him.

Here's an excuse for you. If Shaw hadn't of f**ked the loading medley in 2010, he would be the one with 4 titles.

Both guys have their strengths and also their own few weaknesses.

Shaw is the Worlds strongest man and Z showed on the Second day, why he is regarded the greatest ever and once again came close.

In my opinion they are the greatest rivarly in the history of the sport. Both all time greats.

Yeah an it very much looked like he was struggling with the deficit on deadlifts. 2-3 inch can make a big difference to some people especially with a large belly and some will go very slow off the floor to hold the correct position. You can see felix just went for it then lost his position and died, if he would have went slower off the floor and held position he would have got more.

extremely stupid comment

he dominated that event in 2012 360kg x 8 no hitch perfect reps with more in the tank

im sure he has the highest rack pull 18 inch deadlift ever 540 kg X 2 before ASM 2014

Z just said on Instagram he'll be back stronger next year

Hopefully he will come back. It's pretty clear from the cautious way he was doing his deadlifts he was having issues with his back

So what could have affected him on deadlift and not power stairs?

Perhaps he has simply regressed slightly at deadlift or maybe just had an off day. The latter in my opinion.
