brian shaw

just doesnt have it in him
natural stentgth genetics, brute power

cant put him in the same category with Z and Kaz

u cant suck in pressing and considered as the strongest overall at the same time

also this attitude "im the best ever, im a legend and so on "... its pathetic

if shaw had injury like Z and couldnt deadlift as normally the whole f**kin world would have known, the man just likes excuses

no doubt he was the most prepared anyway

I think Chris Gearing will have a good year next year, his naturally strong and very explosive and will fair well against the big boys soon. Ed Hall has improved drastically but i can't see him passing Shaw and Thor. There is no consistency with the events in strongman and it evolves so quickly every 5 years or so who know what kind of strongman will dominate soon... I'm in the running if they put an egg and spoon race medley Wink lol

I'm a fan of Hicks as well be good to see him back quickly and do some damage to competition!

I'm sure Brian Shaw couldn't give a f**k as long as he is winning titles.

Your judgement on Shaws ability seems auffely clouded because you don't like his character.

I think most events are easier for Shaw cos of his size. The contest might as well be called Worlds Biggest Man

In that context I think Zydrunas' achievements are all the more impressive

Can you name any events that don't suit a big man which are test of strength and power. Not anyone's fault that they are bigger just makes them more suited to be strong. Sure Shaw log isn't bad anyway just not as good as the best

Why is pressing so much more important than anything else?

Maybe in the interest of balance it is worth pointing out that while Brian's biggest weakness gets hit in every WSM final, the organisers have decided to completely abandon events that would test Z's biggest weakness. His grip.

I don't see why Shaw's "poor" pressing means he can't be considered a great but Z has just as big a weakness.

the last event they took away the advantage of height on stones and made it more a test of strength - shaw dominated.

Z is a great competitor but far too many elevate him to more than he is making excuses for his losses but then criticise any other competitor who has an injury and mention it

Z was actually beating Shaw on stones, but then dropped the third stone!

This explains it all...Wink

Shaw and z are both greats of strongmen. 7 wins between them. It's not really an argument
