Good to do a bit of variety for a change. Plan is to reintroduce some rowing and back work, keep hitting the tries hard and start a new buildup for deads and squats. Going to try and creep the weights up on CGBP for another week or so and see how they go.

A full week off !!!! That'll be the day.

A week off would mess with your head, just train two days - all three lifts, deadlift first day, then squat and bench on the second day, but nothing over 100 kilos. No, that isn't a typo, it's 100 kilos. Just to keep loose and to keep the demons at bay.

Last heavy day would be Friday of the antepenultimate week, penultimate week up to your openers on each lift, final week - loosners and demons at bay, then come the comp you will be rested, fed and champing the bit.

You'll see.

I have never known Bim come into a comp fed :-)

It would be great to see you at a higher level. The worlds this year might be a bit of a trek but there is the European classic these days.

Thanks Pete, I'll try it next comp. I think it's going to be the YNE Open 21/11/15, so about 18 weeks out at the moment.

im undecided i might even consider comping with you Paul. Hopefully get 1st and 2nd by Wilkes judging by the result of your last comp you had the Wilkes title aswell. I would say it is impressive but i trained along time with you and i know your capable on your day in the next 12 months to get 260,200,300. But like a few guys including myself have said get your volume in now then take regular deload or just back off and those numbers will be very achievable in the same meet.

Do it! Would be great to compete with you on the platform. I think at the moment the 260 squat is the toughest of those to get. Targets at the moment are 250/200/300 in comp for a 750 total, pretty much +10kg to all the lifts. A pretty tough ask but with a decent buildup and a good day within reach I think.

Yeah, sometimes I can go for a while without them getting painful, but once the weights ramp up a bit it's always the same. Do you just stick to high bar?
