Tonight I tried a lowish carb health freak 'chowder' -
so missing traditional thickeners like a roux or cream.

Chicken hot fried in olive oil 2/3 mins to seal
Add some pepper and red onions stir fry until softened
Added broad beans, white beans, butter beans, cabbage, carrots
stock cube bit of water - thyme basil garlic to season
let the whole shebang simmer and reduce for 20 mins or so

was most enjoyable. Load of protein fibre vitamins and circa 40-50g carbs.

Last night Duck breast - bit more high maintenance than chicken breast, as in you have to sear skin for a while and then roast it but lot more taste and juicier meat though with a fair bit of fat in it for easy calories too.

I have my normal sunday roast then about an hour later i have the left overs in sandwichs. does anyone else have roast sandwichs?

Im about to order from dominos the "feed four large deal" 2 large pizzas, garlic pizza bread, wedges and a drink ill add on cookies and a large garlic and herb dip... plus what ever the Mrs wants i suppose.
