Being a big strong man, but having a gut and feeling a bit podgy in clothes and people looking at u thinking you probably don't lift?

Or do you just smile to yourself and just don't give a f**k?

I ask because I've packed on strength the past year thanks to some sound advice from a user on here; but I've also had to buy a bigger shirt and jeans tonight and I'm meeting up with a load of family I've not seen in a while!!

Expecting a fair few fat jokes lol, how do YOU or would you deal with it?!

Add in some insulina abuse and you'll get the 'GH gut too' bulging belly with abs and veins lol

Honestly I've never really been slim, but I hadn't seen my grandmother for about a year during this time if taken my bench from 145k to 180-190
And had gained a lot of weight in the process,

Went to visit my grandmother with the family (I have 3 young kids 7/11/13) there were only enough chairs for my grandmother and the wife and kids so I said "can I sit here" pointing to the puffett she said I'm not sure it would stand your weight then looked at the wife and kids and said "he's got awful fat gone hasn't he? He is awful. My kids where far more upset than me but yes it botherd me big time. No matter how hard I've tried to starve myself or gain muscle and strenght my family have always put me down for as long as I can remember, I can't imagine ever saying that s**t to my grand kids ,that's just one example.my uncle's do it customers have said s**t to me , people are judgmental these days, especially with media attention on obesity nhs bill larger folks are fair game just like benifit scroungers or disability benifit cheats. That's how I feel.

If you're going to be fat. You might as well be strong... Strong and fat, or just fat. That way you can justify being a whopper.

Personally, I'm becoming less of a fatty now, because I simply don't carry the extra weight well enough to justify it. Clearly I need to use more insulina and tren harder!

However, I'd prefer to look like I lift at least.

You don't have to be fat to be strong.

True that. If you look fat, people will assume you're just fat, regardless if you're strong or not.

I 100% agree, hence why I'm trying to be less fat myself.

Bingo!

And if you are fat but strong, then your strength needs to be at a level which justifies the extra blubber.

Problem is in this day and age, when you have people like Rob Ward, Shane Jerman with videos on FB showing freakish strength levels, it's hard to justify (to the layman anyway) not being their strength when you are 30kg heavier. Social media has made it seem like lots of u90kg lifters can deadlift 300kg when the reality is there are probably only a couple of hundred in a WHOLE population of 60-odd million.

Whilst all very valid points in this thread...

People are dumb, uneducated, naive and often just plain c**tish.

Do what makes YOU happy and f**k what anyone else thinks because the harsh reality is no one else really gives a f**k.

Doesnt bother me too much. Guts are good for holding kegs , axles and for pushing cars.
What does bother me is that the extra weight reduces my fitness a bit and hurts my narrow knees.
