Ideally a quarter circle will be made with the hands when viewed from the side. In your vid I see the arc as convex to your chest, but I was expecting concave (towards face, more like bench bar path). Is it out and up, or up and out?

Is it out and up, or up and out? Out and up, concave lol. Same as swinging my foot forwards motion. I don't demo it well to be fair, I have no endurance in my delts at all, was struggling to hold the bar up then remembered I had to get a video so was on the end of the session. Will show you next time you are over

'There was also a sausage in my mouth.' Member 2477, 16481 posts SQ 190, BP 130, DL 235555.0 kgs @ 83kgs UnEq | I tried this today. At first i just used a broom stick in between sets of bench and then at the end of the session I did 2 sets of about 5 with a bar that was approximately 10kg. Was harder than one would expect with that weight.

Member 4002, 60 posts SQ 250, BP 165, DL 272.5687.5 kgs @ 93kgs UnEq | The description of the bar floating in limbo at the middle portion of the lift sounded very familiar so I will also be giving this a bash. My gym has two banks of those crossfit style squat 'rigs' so I can probably manage to do it with a support at my back ...which seems like a good idea to me ...yay or nay?

understanding of the sport, little he has. Member 798, 9942 posts SQ 260, BP 150, DL 272.5682.5 kgs @ 82.5kgs UnEq | I did five sets of five last night after my pressing session. I quite liked them to be honest - I also down bench grip barbell front raised (super slow and controlled for both the concentric and eccentric) and these definitely hit my shoulders in a different way. I'm going to do them twice a week for a couple of months and see where they take me

A heavy single certainly destroys the delts good and proper - look forward to seeing the 1RM videos

Mr.Potato deadlift Member 2675, 4630 posts SQ 300, BP 200, DL 300800.0 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | I tried these today after benching. 3x5 with the bar. I'm hoping they are the key to new bench gains. They were surprisingly hard

Member 4002, 60 posts SQ 250, BP 165, DL 272.5687.5 kgs @ 93kgs UnEq | Reporting back having tried these last night. As everyone else has found they were surprisingly hard. I liked the movement though and reckon I will incorporate them into my bench warm-up. I managed a couple of sets of 8 last night so will be looking to gradually work that up to 3x12+. Possibly purely coincidentally, possibly not; I was nursing a sore shoulder that seemed to clear up after doing them. If there is any sort of regular benefit on that front it'll certainly motivate me to get them done...
