Lol...I was expecting it to feel tougher than it was mate I must admit. Yes i'd like 185kg before I reset things if poss mate..4-5 weeks left so possible Happy

Well I rolled the dice again today and it didn't play out as well as yesterday...

Damn! Warm ups felt good...300 was insane, its never moved that fast, felt really good so I decided to try a pb. 325kg was slow right from the floor but I got it to near lockout I just couldn't actually lock it out and grip eventually gave way. Its damn close though. I need more speed work, banded work and paused work but I got this very soon. Deads not gone as well this cycle...bench and squats have flown up but deads not so much...ebbs and flows, it'll all build, its coming slowly. Think i'll go for reps with 300 next week and maybe week after then try a max again after that, in fact I may deload the week after next and go for it the week after.

Felt nice for a change, mate was raving about them so chucked them in, felt alright.

And that was that...not a bad session, learnt a few things, tad annoyed but can't win them all Happy
Bodyweight is an odd one too...been on dbol just over a week now and bodyweight has dropped 1.5kg despite food intake remaining constant..i was expecting bloat to go on...I can feel them working for sure as strength is up but bodyweight not going up, odd one.

Day off tomorrow then second bench day on Thursday.

Great session today...training on my own, little atmosphere in gym but felt very focused, wasn't entirely sure on what to do bench wise today...figured i'd go with a heavy daily max...some rep work and some speed work all in one....

Very pleased with all that...almost toyed with trying a 180kg paused but decided reps would be more productive so did 2 sets of 3 with 160 and then did a 170 single, moved ok if a tad heavy today after the repping but decent enough. Decided then I wanted to see if I could get a rep pb with 3 plates...8 was my old max and the 8th was an almighty struggle...fresh without the heavy stuff before so todays 9 fatigued was very nice...I will be pushing to get 140kg in to double figures. Chest was insanely pumped...almost painful but did some more reps after before moving to some very nice speed work, hit a very nice line and lats worked hard on these controlling the negative. All in all a very productive bench session. On to bro work...

These pumped like nothing I can ever remember, insanely painful in a really good way...old pb was 12 reps!

Awesome sets, biceps screaming but I could just seem to keep pumping the sets out comfortably, had to stop myself carrying on curling lol.

These at the end were horrendous...the pump and burn in triceps, chest and delts was almost too much to bare but felt so good, whole upper body massively pumped.
 
And that was that...even at current fat boy BF levels upper body was covered in veins popping out, really enoyed that today. Squats and banded deads tomorrow.

Cheers boys...bench is cracking along nicely, feeling the best it ever has without doubt.

I may have a pop at a 500lbs squat today if warm ups feel good.

Great session today, was flagging a little in my first work shift but it switched on ok at gym...
 
Squats

227.5kg x 1 Lifetime PB and major goal achieved
230kg x 1 Lifetime PB!!
 
Well pleased...I've never had such focus and confidence lifting...200kg was a joke it utterly flew so loaded the 227.5kg goal with zero hesitation and total confidence. Nailed it easily...had 2 people checking depth from the side and it was buried so decided to once again roll the dice and put on 230kg... again confidence and strength are like nothing I've ever experienced...I utterly buried 230kg...was a long way under parallel...lost my form a tad but it went up ok with no hesitation. I almost toyed with putting another 2.5kg on but was sensible. I have 4 weeks left of this peak so will leave another max attempt for now. Very very pleased, as a lifelong poverty squatter i'm pleased to get the 500lb monkey off my back.

And that was that minimised extra work due to intensity of the top end work.
