Thanks Taz...yes it bodes well mate...7 weeks time i'll double 315kg and then pull a 335kg and start over again to try get into the 340's Happy

Cracking lifting mate and great to see you back on your pet lift. Although the bit that gets me; you've had a serious illness and almost died yet you still lift 300kg like it's an every day occurrence. Worse it IS for you Roll-Eyes

LOL thank you mate...I was only planning on going to 260kg tbh mate but it moved like an empty bar so went to 280kgand again it felt easy so was nice to go to 300kg. Last week just back 225kg felt heavy so i'm happy enough. I felt like I had 3-4 there with 300 I guess but not needed. Aim is to hit the 315kg double in 7 weeks and creep my max up to 335-340kg.

800lbs is going this year Grin

Awesome session today, triceps still sore from Monday but didn't effect anything...

Paused Bench Against Black Bands

60kg x 8

Feeling better than last week, 145kg was slow at lockout and I lost my line but went up, best ever at height of my peak was 150kg so not a million miles away even at this early stage. Dropped to 110's for some explosive triples and they moved very nice.

Paused Floor Press

60kg x 5
100kg x 5
120kg x 1
145kg x 1 pb lol
150kg x 1 pb lol
155kg x 1 pb lol
130kg x 3
130kg x 3
130kg x 3

Such a weak movement for me but its building up rapidly. 155kg was not maximal but was enough for today and the 130's moved very nicely. Hits me bang on my weak point in bench, genuinely think these are going to be a game changer, never properly built them before. Will try to build these up to 170kg+.

Seated Dumbbell Press

32kg x 12 rep pb
42kg x 6 rep pb
32kg x 12 volume pb

Again never really pushed these at all, hardest bit is getting them into position. Delts really felt good with these I must admit and enjoyable as a change for sure.

Deadlift Rows

145kg x 6

150kg x 6

Slowly building up, feeling powerful and explosive and hitting the right area to carryover to my deads, still feeling light, will push on with weights the coming weeks.

EZ Preacher Curls

42.5kg x 8

40kg x 10

Good slow negatives and explosive positives. Really deep stretch at the end of each rep too, pumped massively.

Hammer Curls

27kg x 10 rep pb

Felt great and biceps really hurting by the end, painful pump.

Standing Log Tricep Extensions

35kg x 15
45kg x 10
50kg x 8
50kg x 8

These feel awesome on my elbows, much better than a bar and the shape of the log forces a controlled movement and really focuses on triceps very well. Massive pump from these.

Log Press

65kg x 2 strict
85kg x 1 push

Lol...threw in as a mate was playing with them, very rusty but easy enough.

Reverse Pec Dec

70kg x 12
77kg x 10 rep pb
84kg x 8 rep pb

Uber strict and rear delts really hit spot on, painful pumps.

And that was that, decent session.

Squats and speed deads/possible isometric deads plus accessories tomorrow.

Very nice mate, volume is just nuts as usual. Floor press looks interesting, it will be good to see how that goes. Also I quite like your leggings, I need some for KM as the official trousers are restrictive due to my quads.

Floor press is awesome mate...going to be key in me breaking 200kg bench I feel.

Missus got me the leggings from strengthshop mate...really comfy and warm in this weather too.

Squats

First time squatting with a normal bar since the end of October so all feeling a bit weird. Everything moving half ok, 200kg didn't feel heavy but lacking any real conviction as yet, it'll spring back, not concerned. Decent work.

Isometric Deads Superset Speed Deads

180kg x 5ish seconds Iso Dead
160kg x 2 Speed Deads

Awesome work. The iso deads are something I've been meaning to try for so long and the muscle activation in middle back/lats/traps/abs was just immense...filmed the first set but they improved as they went along. really got into a good pull back position and its amazing how tiring it is. Speed work after felt great. Be interesting to see if they add anything, feels productive.

Safety Squat Bar Good Mornings

Nice reps and hams/glutes and mid upper back really worked hard, enjoyed taking these heavier, certainly felt them.

Belt Squat Machine

80kg x 7 default pb
40kg x 10
50kg x 10
100kg x 3 default pb

50kg x 10

New machine in and it is brutal. Unlike many belt squat machines the weight is very close to you so it makes it very tough, my quads were in utter bits after these, they make leg extensions look like a walk in the park. I will be hammering these twice a week I think to bring up my quads, feels like they could be a game changer. Used a dipping belt today..a proper belt is on its way.

Seated Hamstring Curls

80kg x 10
85kg x 10
90kg x 10
95kg x 8
100kg x 6

Fairly short rest periods and hamstrings burning nicely, tried to be quite explosive with a slow negative.

And that was that, not masses of volume today but legs and back hit very hard indeed. Possibly training Sunday now in missus gym in Devon.

They are brutal mate but I think they will be very effective...I can still feel them now!
