Cheers mate... Not bad for not squatting in a long while... Feeling easy enough, will slowly build up again.

Trained at Missus gym yesterday...not set up for PL and struggled with bench set up but got some work in there....

Bench Press

60kg x 10
80kg x 10
100kg x 5
120kg x 3
140kg x 7 ...foot slipping on floor
160kg x 1
170kg x 1
140kg x 5
140kg x 5
100kg x 8 sets of 2

Very tough...big fat arse chrome bar...odd set up and a slippy floor made these hard but got some graft in.

Seated Dumbbell Press

25kg x 15
25kg x 12
25kg x 10

Done on a completely upright bench..much tougher, decent work.

Standing Iso Row

80kg x 12
100kg x 12
120kg x 8

Only back machine available but made it work, short rest periods.

Incline Iso Hammer

50kg x 20
70kg x 10
70kg x 8

Much tougher than the one I am used to...more of a verticle push...worked triceps hard.

Standing Cable Flyes

25kg x 20
40kg x 15
45kg x 15
45kg x 10

Love these, much better than crossovers...will do these in my usual gym, feels great.

EZ Preacher Curls

50kg x 5
40kg x 10
40kg x 8
40kg x 8

Again feeling different to usual set up but biceps working hard

Decline Close Grip Smith Bench

40kg x 20
80kg x 8
80kg x 8
60kg x 10
60kg x 10

Another odd feeling set up but blitzed triceps nicely.

Alternate Arm Cable Curls

20kg x 12
30kg x 10
35kg x 10
35kg x 10

Liked these a lot too, epic pump.

And that was that, everything felt a bit odd due to unusual set up but got some graft in.

Vid of fluff...

Went back in today as I didn't feel I got the work in I wanted to.....so todays purely bench session...

Bench Press

60kg x 10
80kg x 10
100kg x 5
120kg x 3
147.5kg x 5
147.5kg x 5
add bands (against)
100kg x 8 sets of 2

Moving much sweeter than yesterday on good bar and bench.

Dead Bench Against Bands

100kg x 1
120kg x 1
130kg x 1 pb
120kg x 2
100kg x 2
100kg x 2

These were fun, humbling but fun, just trying to work on explosion.

Reverse Band Bench Press

180kg x 1
200kg x 1
220kg x 1
200kg x 5
180kg x 2
180kg x 2
180kg x 2
180kg x 2

Again I really enjoyed these...I think fresh and peaked my best was 230-235kg, 220kg moved nicely today, I wanted to feel some heavy weight in the hands and this worked nicely, explosive strength slowly returning.

And that was that, happier today with the work I got in. Deads tomorrow.

Vid...

Lol cheers mate...she works there as the in house sports massage therapist.

Reverse bands take off around 60kg at the bottom and maybe 10-15kg at the top so the 220kg is a 160kg at the bottom 205-210kg at the top.

The press against bands I think add around 40kg though that's a guesstamate as not checked that one.

Great work mate. I like to think you've set some gym records at the alternate gym. How are you feeling now after the illness?

I've toyed with the idea of reverse band bench like a reverse Anderson style, I got me a luggage scales now to try and get an accurate reading of the band tension, only cost £3 anyway how did you find the reverse bands ?

Its a good idea mate. I love reverse bands...masses of fun...love them for deads too, they really seem to help dial technique in too.

I do enjoy pressing against bands too...I some ways much much tougher.

Not a bad session today..everything moving ok, power still down but its coming back ok...

Deadlifts

60kg x 10
100kg x 8
140kg x 5
180kg x 2
220kg x 1
260kg x 1
280kg x 1
310kg x 1
belt off and paused
240kg x 5
240kg x 5
260kg x 1
add a band (against)
180kg x 2
180kg x 2
180kg x 2
remove band
180kg x 2
180kg x 2
180kg x 2

Partial Deads (top half)

180kg x 5
200kg x 5
200kg x 5

Well deads feeling ok...310kg moved ok..still lacking the conviction and drive but it is improving no doubt. Paused work and speed work all moving very nicely and feeling light in the hands which bodes well. Not following any specific plans with deads at the moment, just getting the work in and building weaknesses plus trying to bring the confidence back. Happy with where I am less than 3 weeks after being very ill.

Belt Squats

60kg x 10 rep pb
60kg x 10
60kg x 12 rep pb

Continuing to build these, they are brutal, legs go to jelly with so little weight, absolute killer.

Lying Hamstring Curls

70kg x 10 rep pb
75kg x 8 rep pb
80kg x 6 rep pb

Strongest ever on these, very explosive with a slow negative. Feels productive.

Barbell Hip Thrusts

100kg x 12
100kg x 12
100kg x 12

Still not sold on these..need padding and to go heavier I think, I hold the top contraction for a squeeze and its all very controlled. Will stick with them for a while.

Rope Pulldowns

70kg x 10
70kg x 10
85kg x 10

Not tried pulldowns with a rope before, I like them, helpful for building grip too, just getting a little extra back work in while I can.

And that was that, decent enough, plenty to build on yet...

Thanks mate, considering how ill I was not long ago i'm happy enough. Dropping a little fat next 6-7 weeks too and that always helps my deads so will see how it goes.

Lol cheers mate...220 first week back...300 last week and 310 this week is not a bad return. Think next week it will either be a 315kg or a double at 300kg.

Inspirational, you nearly die and a few weeks later your picking up 310kg and then nitpicking over it Grin. Get some perspective man (that's the jealously coming out) Eek.

Lol...I guess so mate...I just have very high expectations of myself I guess. Considering I thought briefly I was going to die, 3 weeks later to pull 310kg is good lol!

Lots more to come...just need to be careful until lungs back to full health Happy

Feeling awesome today, chest feeling good and energy levels flying and was really looking forward to the session.

Paused Floor Press

60kg x 10
80kg x 10
100kg x 5
120kg x 3
140kg x 3 rep pb
160kg x 1 pb
140kg x 3
140kg x 3
150kg x 2 rep pb

Moved these to the start of my session as they are a weakness and they are feeling great, they hit just where I am weak and taking the legs and back out of the lift feels awesome. Hit 140kg for a comfy 3 so decided to go to 160kg and it moved nicely. Left it there and got a little volume in. Triceps really feeling these and I felt great.

Reverse Band Bench Press

180kg x 3
220kg x 3 paused rep pb
240kg x 1 TnG pb
220kg x 3 paused
close grip paused
180kg x 8
180kg x 6
180kg x 6

Again really feeling on it, everything clicking and moving well. 240kg moved ok, felt very heavy in the hands but it moved nicely...that's 180kg on the chest from when I measured it. Switched to close grip to get some volume in and triceps worked well.

Deadlift Rows

160kg x 6
180kg x 4 rep pb
160kg x 6
160kg x 6

Moved well and I really enjoy the movement of these, pushing these hard the coming weeks if I can as carryover is awesome.

Dumbbell Lateral Raise

12.5 kg x 15
12.5kg x 15
12.5kg x 12

Machine Preacher Curls

50kg x 12
60kg x 6
55kg x 6

Log Curls

35kg x 10
35kg x 10
35kg x 10
35kg x 12
40kg x 10
45kg x 8

Standing Log Tricep Extensions

50kg x 8
50kg x 8
50kg x 8
50kg x 8

Reverse Pec Dec

84kg x 10
84kg x 8
77kg x 10
77kg x 10

Fluff to finish, squats, iso and speed deads tomorrow plus more fluff.
