His 213kg looked quite comfortable as well for a max, reckon he could press 220kg right now. Another year of focused training and he could be pushing 230kg

Yeah I agree, think he could be on for 220 in comp too. I think that'd make him 2nd biggest log lifter after Z.

Wouldn't count out Shaw though, I can imagine he's just as hungry.

Thor is 192kg as well...he could bump his weight up to 200kg and be an even better presser. But i think he will chase records next season after he squats 460kg in the off-season.

Z also confirmed he was ill and lost 10kg. Hopefully he will get his strength back for WSM.

He is making excuses. Drex was right with his observation.

He looked bigger than Eddie Hall and Hall is 185. If he lost 10 kilos i have no idea from where.
Ilness might lower strength significantly but still his log in training was around 210.

Training is just that, training, it's to get better, not to lift big weights in the gym. His best in training was only 205kg before recently but again that makes no odds, he's still done 228kg in competition.

We will just have to see what happens when he is healthy. Either way he's still the greatest strongman ever by a decent margin.

He said he weighed 180kg and he looked good. Said his training was soooo so good. Then he performed bad and all of a sudden he had something and lost 10kg bw.
I think he is doing that for more publicity before a competition. He wants to make as much money as he can. Who can blame him? I would do the same. But for me he is finished.

I have to say Z looked a bit tired on Saturday, in Manchester last year he did all 5 stones in 20 sec and now he couldn't even lift the last stone. Seems very possible he was ill. Hopefully he will be in better shape for World's.

His 200 was easy by the way. In december at masters he missed 200. So definitely improving.

Wasn't the best picture but on the stream it looked like ed locked it out fairly easy on the second attempt but then lost balance?

Only seen the video. You for real?

You think he locked it out?

He did not and never thought that as in good lift. On lozs live stream (fuzzy and from ed's left hand side) it looked like he pressed it out but then lost balance when it went to arms length. I was asking if that was the case, hence the question mark. Was very hard to see what happened on the stream.

Ok man. Was curious that maybe an other angle showed it differently

Interesting topic.
Some people discredit Z lifts as most of them over 220 are done with metal logs. Highest wooden is 221 at ESM 2013 from Z which looks very easy. He has said this wooden log is very comfortable. This years log looks a little big wider and shorter. How that relates to record credibility?

It doesnt. The difference in diameter between the 2 logs is fairly small. Its not like the difference between a regular log and the giant FIBO log.
