"The aim was to get a good spread of fitness across all the principles and honestly I think I have."

That right there has CROSSFIT written all over it!! Wink

I've started running again. Nothing to dramatic, I don't really want to go over 4-5 miles maximum but there's a lot to be said about being strong AND fit. I find it really empowering.

Crossfit was Crossfit way before Crossfit. There's very little new in this game IMO.

Good on you mate. It's a hard trick to balance them both. I've found both responded well when I trained them individually, but always at the expense of the other. That said I get fed up of one kind of training quite quickly nowadays, which is ok as long as I go off and do something else. It does feel good though. As someone who's chased many a high from many a source feeling like I do now is up there.

Dead right, a lot of crossfit is simply based around circuit training with a few more unusual lifts incorporated.

I find that the running definitely affects my strength but currently I've knocked the oly lifts on the head as I was getting too many injuries/niggles from using sub-standard equipment. I still focus my strength with a "legs first" approach so I'm sure I'd soon get back to my normal unimpressive numbers if I re-incorporate them again.

Good thanks mate. More spastic than devious, but still like a the laughs.

Think I'm 3 - 4 years into my reborn biking life. After a 24 year layoff and having an RD350 I went out and got an X11. I have to plan my rides in detail as am blind as a bat after twilight so need to be looking to park up or I have to use the force. #blindasabat I've only come off it once and I was actually stationary. Cocked my leg over and got my jeans stuck in the pegs on the opposite side. Straight over. See what I mean. Spastic.
