when i look at all the supplements on the market i cant decide what are genuine and what are just out there to make money. Wondering what all you guys take to help with strength and growth. I've been told about bulgarian tribulus, is this as good as it looks?

all supplements are there to make money - it is a multi million dollar industry and their ads (and lab 'results') are always doctored appropriately to make even a basic protein sound like the key to the "gains of a lifetime".

the supplements that work have a subtle effect, e.g. a good dose of vitamin C won't add 50kg to your squat but it'll strengthen your immune system which helps you get sick less and so can have longer more productive training sessions, ZMA helps you sleep which'll help your recovery and so on.

some people do see a difference using tribulus but unless you're over 35 and drug-free there's probably no real point taking it.

most supps are pap.

Creatine has a very mild effect. Caffeine is good for focus. Cant think of anything else of any use.

animal pump

Do you genuinely buy and consume something called Animal Pump?

The best suppliments in no particular order are beer, steak and weed.

f**kers.

Cant argue though although there were other ingredients along the wayUnhappy

It's not big and it's not clever. I've since found religion and dont partake of such activities anymore. In fact I dont even smoke and maybe have a glass of wine with a meal.

For me i take weightgainer, whey protein and creatine if i dont i feel weaker and struggle to maintain bodyweight first 2 on list are merely for decent calories to supplement or add to meals 3rd seems to help with repetitions or stamina.........dread to think how much i have spent over the years !

Agreed!

To get more food from the butcher and the local market, is to me the best investment one can make when it comes to legal supplementing!Wink

Fish oil is good to supplement unless you eat a substantial amount of fatty fish every day. Good anti-inflammatory and if you get spots/acne it might clear it up for you as well (does for me at least).
