I left chicken, leeks and potatoes simmering in the slow cooker all afternoon.

Just had my second bowl. Delicious homely food perfect for growing Happy

Also a large slab of christmas cake, a tin of fruit salad and a mince pie.

Cheese & HP sauce sandwich, followed by 3 Tesco's own brand Weetabix and a can of Holsten Pils. I'm contemplating an omelette now though, as I've got eggs to use up.

Crunchy Nut Cornflakes are too nice. I wonder what supermarket own brand Crunchy Nut Cornflakes are like? I might investigate. Tesco's own brand Shreddies have an owl on the packet. The Owl buys them, but I never got round to trying them last time I visited.
I have washing up to do now, which is the worst thing about making food.

Although I'm financially astute I struggle to bring myself to try supermarket own brand versions through fear of disappointment.

some good eating going on in here.

I had one leftover fajita wrap from lunch (home made), and had some beef stew (potatoes, carrots).

You quite simply MUST!!! It's Martin Lewis's number 1 top shopping tip!!*
For instance a pack of 24 Weetabix in Tesco is £1.98, whereas their own brand ones are 66p for 24! Maybe they're not quite as nice, but still quite lovely.

*I do mean Martin Lewis don't I? I'm not getting confused with television detectives again I hope.
