Chocolate hobnobs are average at best. They are about as good as Maryland choc chip cookies, Nice creams and Fig Rolls.

Nice, but in no way a superior biscuit!!!!

You dare to compare Fig Rollls and Chocolate Hobnobs to s**tty Maryland Cookies. You stupid, ignorant, shortarsed little man.

Fox's Crinkle Crunch Creams please.

Jacko - I was about to mention the custard cream. The working man's biscuit, only a little bit more special. Something for the weekend as a treat from the basic McVitie's Digestive. Lots of other biscuits are just pretentious, trying too hard to wow people whilst forgetting what makes a biscuit a biscuit - simplicity, ease to eat and dunkability. Anything with chocolate is just plain dangerous - need to carry a pack of babywipes if i'm going to go anywhere near anything with chocolate.

Lots of tasty biscuits there, but do we need to identify the difference between a biscuit and what I call a 'break bar' or 'snack biscuit'? Ie a hobnob versus a penguin?

Hmmm you do raise a good point, but they are all classed as biscuits, almost reminiscent of the jaffa cake - biscuit or cake argument! Not sure what my point is all I can think about is Disco biscuits!!!

If you leave a cake to go stale it goes hard. If you leave a biscuit it goes soft. What does a jaffa cake do? there's your answer to that one.
