I think you're doing yourself a bit of a mis-service Tom. There's a lot of older lifters in comps who power snatch due to flexibility issues and there's quite a few guys who power clean due to their jerk lagging behind.
Maybe you can't catch a snatch absolutely rock bottom, but I bet there's a fair degree of bend in your knees - or would be if you wanted it to be that way. Happy
I'm happy to tip my hat to anyone who beats me in comp (or not in comp really) who can power snatch more than my full snatch - more power to them!

i still want to see separate charts Unhappy

and no, i catch a power snatch on near enough straight legs, or fail and hurt myself stanozoLOL

To stop the wraps pinging off... and it feels nice with moderate wrapping so that depth can be hit with bodyweight only - lovely! Its usually allowed in strongman comps too.

Oh, and they are 2.5m wraps... but I hear you can get 3m ones now? Wink

I accept this as a failing at our training facility... along with getting very little out of deadlift and squat suits.

Bench shirts are forbidden (though Shane sneaks one in now and again).

Once in a comp for the yoke event I used two belts*, two pairs of knee sleeves AND trainers!

*I was trying to protect a back niggle with a velcro belt above my main belt but it pinged open anyway.

This is great - its like a confessional!

I've got one...

in my first powerlifting comp, i competed unequipped. But I had a pair of Nike cycling shorts on under my singlet (sprinters don't do NOTHING without a pair of these) and my underpants were the boxer kind, not the legless kind. Both are flagrant violations in powerlifting.

I think straps are an unfair advantage - surely they help you lift more. I'm only saying this as I can't use straps to save my life. How about belts, olympic shoes, rock climbing shoes chalk.....

If there is a rule stating something's not allowed (deadlift suit) then it's not allowed. If there's nothing to state you can't have 3 ply sleeves, then i'd say go for it. P.S - do you think triple ply elbow sleeves will help my s**t overhead press?
