Well done today Ben, a fine performance, even more impressive considering the rather limited event training you've done recently, as Dave says your squatting was awesome showing up me and the rest of the 105 lads.

Quick one tonight>

Bench:
3x 60kg
3x 80kg
3x 100kg
3x 120kg
10x 100kg

Seated strict:
5x 60,60kg
2x 70kg

Standing behind neck strict:
3x 60,60kg
2x 60kg

Dips:
3x BW
3x +20kg
7x +40kg

Side & rear delt stuff to finish.

Not much rest between sets. Really weak at the bottom of the press, but lockout's strong.

Want to get my bench up as I can put more OH than I can bench now.... Quite enjoyed it.

18" deadlift:
3x 100kg
3x 140kg
3x 180kg
3x 200kg
1x 220kg
10x 220kg
Very tentative, but fine when I got into it. Stopped the top set before form got sloppy, as that when things go wrong. Pleasantly surprised as i didn't think i could deadlift in any form.

Power cleans:
3x 80, 100, 105kg
BB rows:
5x 105, 125, 135kg
DB Pullovers:
10x 35, 40, 45kg
Wide grip BHN pull downs:
10,10,12
BB curls:
5,5,2

Good, fun session.

Cheers Neil, training after was ok, got the blood flowing.

Good early (0530) session this morning>

Lowbar squat:
3x 60, 100, 140kg
1x 180kg
1x 200kg
3x 220kg (not a PR, but very close to one)

Pause front Squat:
1x 120, 140, 160, F 170kg
1x 180kg (PR)

Highbar squat, beltless:
10x 180kg (PR)

All powered by a Caramel Wafer.

Probably the best squat session I've ever had. New 1RM on the cards next time I try for it. Will stick a vid up later.

Late one tonight>

glute twinges here and there, but bearable, just need to keep very tight...

Chins/pull ups every 30 seconds, different grip each set:
50 in total, took 7 sets.
BOR:
5x 100, 130, 140kg
Chest supported rows:
5x 60, 80, 80kg
Behind neck pull ups:
10 BW
Yates rows:
5x 50, 60, 70kg
Bi curls:
3x 50kg

No real rest in the second half. Pooped!

Good session.

Early morning Session:

Squat (lowbar):
3x 100, 140, 180kg
1x 200kg
2x 230kg (F3) PR
glute stab on the second rep near the top slowed me right down (you can see it on the vid)- as such, 3rd rep wasn't a whole hearted attempt....
Front squat:
1x 100kg
1x 120kg
1x 165kg
1x 185kg fairly easy PR
Highbar:
5x 185kg
stopped short (plan was 10) as glute hurt.

Home.

Looks like a reasonable session on paper, but was flat and uninspiring, despite 2 PR's. Vid up later.

Think I'll start a new log, OL stuff seems to be out for now....

Thought I'd bring my old journal back to life- I'm going to have another crack at Weightlifting!

I previously had an aim to get a 300kg squat, since I'd got it, training hasn't had much of an direction... So, new starter aim will be 140kg C&J (best is 130) and 100kg snatch (best is 87.5kg) and I'll take it from there.

Very much out of practice, so they'll be no fireworks until I've re-learnt how to do things....

Today>

Power clean & power jerk:
lots x bar
lots x 60kg
1x 80,80,100,100,80,80,80,80,80,80,80,80,80,80kg
Front squat:
1x 80,120,140,160kg

That was that. Light weight and started to feel decent in the later reps, not going heavy until i'm happy with what I'm doing.
