He pulled 380kg x 2 without straps, and he then nibbled and took the bait at a troll comment who said "Eddie moves 450 like this" Thor replied with "And after each set it looks like hes dying. I honestly think Ed is gong to retire from worlds, and possibly even the top strongman shows. He said recently in a podcast that an injury to his hands, I think when he dislocated his fingers, has ruined his grip for good. How bad that injury is and was, and what effects it will have on him could force him to pick his shows and events wisely. Also, regarding Worlds, he made a big deal about winning and the retiring, so to go back and do it all again, pushing his body that much further AGAIN, when he doesn't need to would be madness. If he did go back, and for some reason didn't retain the title, it would be a huge blow to him, and there is no better way to retire than going out at the top. | ||

Z is on the comeback, but we are still unsure if he can really hit the Z heights again. Ed is seemingly retired. Next year could well be Thor's. I wonder also, what effect the bells palsy has had on him getting acting work etc? It may mean he's been able to focus more on training. | ||
