When I did the injury I was working up to 210 and I think did the injury on 180 - can anyone recommend a reasonably priced belt for support while i try to get over the s**t mental block that I have for deads? Advice wise, when is the optimum time to put on the belt? Say if I want to hit triples on 180, belt at 120 or what? Thanks

‘downsizing’ Member 5704, 3226 posts SQ 280, BP 210, DL 320810.0 kgs @ 96.3kgs UnEq | Get a 10mm prong one - I’m dumping my 13mm lever belt for deads as I find it too thick, stiff and throws my start off. I don’t put a belt on until I’m at point were weights are still moving without any noticeable slowing down, but feeling heavy, for me circa 80-85% of my max. If I’m repping out less may stick it on anyway. Experiment with looseness - you’ll prob find a notch less than squats is better than super tight.

I have a strength shop double prong and strength shop lever they are both great. Use the leaver for squat and dead’s. prong for log and axle. I’ve also just been sent a sbd belt for podiuming at brits. Now that thing is a different level it feels like putting my body in a vice. Can’t really go wrong with strength shop for the money £79.99ish but the sbd is another level. At £179 it f**king should be though.
