Yeah chains for stability and to help with lockouts, so when I had the bar lifted from the racks they brushed the floor. U know it mike Wink

The tuesday bench session! Decided to switch from a normal body building style bench to a powerlifting bench e.g. Wider grip with elbows tucked in further,

Bar - warmup
60kg - 2 sets 8 reps
80kg - 2 sets 5 reps
100kg - 6 sets 3 reps

At the minute my new bench position isn't very comfortable and feels fairly awkward hense the 6 sets on only 100kg whereas 100kg could be repped out fairly easy when I benched body building style. Hoping in the long run this will benefit me. I would also like some tips! I'm very inexperienced in bench compared to mmy deads and squats.

Mondays squat session Grin

quick brew with the fellas at osg. then a warm up for about 10mins. Did the whole squat session with about 8.5kg chains on each side.
115kg - 8 reps
155kg - 3 reps 3 sets
185kg - 2 reps 5 sets

very good session, 185kg squats never felt so god damn good with chains lol
finished off with a few sets of 3 on 150kg without chains and spotted tom for a few sets with sheer jelousy!! lol Grin

ino, ive bin holding back the pbs, not really gone for them recently spesh in deadlift, really dnt no what to expect, ive always had the comfort of training behind shut doors with no one watchin, got a feeling i may crumble, but its now or never and im going 200 percent!! i feel intimidated and under prepared since im the only first time lifter aswell i think :s, just hope my heads together on the day and dont dissapoint!! PLUS sam keeps pissin me off sayin im coming last ha, just jelous cos hes too heavy!!! lol

no i can only lap the 160kg and get it half way up the stand lol, still gunna have a go at the comp why not, and with regards to the log i can only get a decent lift on it if i can one motion it, for example my one motion on 92kg is much more efficient and faster than my 92kg push press, just cant get my stance and breathing right, but dont forget my 15 rep on log and fast yoke are on fresh sessions and with this being my first ever competition i dnt know what margian to expect between my training pbs and my comp pbs, i dnt know wether to go 120 percent or go for a steady 80 percent of my capability to see if i can get sum good steady results, kinda guessing tht none of u know who i am because i havent been on here in a while but here are some of my bests:

as u can see my shoulders lack BIG TYM with my legs.... far from a dark horse though
