Wraps are allowed in this fed...

Are they allowed all the time? There was a competition where some Czechs and whatnot came over for a competition in Kent (organised by Alan Collins) and there were no wraps allowed. I'm sure the WPC comps are sleeves only. I did a raw comp with them where you're allowed wraps, but I know that at international level, it's sleeves and belt only.

I think having ONE do-over with the majority of competitors' consent is a good idea.

Yeah man I knew it was coming but kept it to myself Tongue It's the PB week of a 8 week program I've been on. No bench PB cos my shoulder is being gay

I think I better get a move on

Phil - aren't ALL of your benches touch and go? You definitely lifting at the comp in a couple of weeks?

What's with the one knee sleeve thing?

I have one that fits properly, and one that's far too big. I only have one dodgy knee at the moment though. It doesn't give enough support to add anything to my lifts, and I watch my legs as I squat with an empty weight and it doesn't make one leg go in/out more than the other, so the technique isn't altered at all. Just keeps it a bit warm.

Why not use wraps? More support and more carryover.

Because in the RAW division, wraps aren't always allowed. Something that confuses me - wraps aren't allowed all the time.

There's no room on my CV for hobbies and interests, as I don't want to go over 2 pages. If asked, my hobbies would be "strength sports"

Squat session. Had an awful night's sleep and a long day at work, forced myself to go to the gym. All sorts of stims (3 spoons of coffee, snuff, sugar and energy drink all as one pre workout stim thing)

One knee sleeve, no belt

Rack in use, so warmed up on hack squat
1 plate a side x 5
2 plates a side x 5
3 plates a side x 5
4 plates a side x 5
5 plates a side x 5

Squat
60kg x 3
100kg x 3
115kg x 3
132.5kg x 10 - not too bad at all, maybe more in the tank. Up 2.5kg since last week. REP PB?

Front squats
60kg x 2
85kg x 2
105kg x 2
115kg x 1
125kg x 1

Leg ext
Top set of 10 with more weight than last week, plus drop sets. Assistance s**t PB

Box squat (well bench squat) - inch above maybe

60kg x 2
100kg x 2
135kg x 2
155kg x 2
165kg x 1

Glute stuff on leg ext (standing, leg straight and move leg backwards)
43kg x 10/10
48kg x 10/10 Assistance s**t PB

Chins - speed stuff
BW X 3,3,3

Stretching at home, crippled last night as per usual after squat sessions. Might have to belt up for a squat session next week and see if I can get closer to 500.

Thanks Al, hoping to manage 100kg FTOH with this technique as my powercleans/jerks are VERY inconsistent.

I miss a weeks worth of your workouts and you've smashed out some big PBs. Great speed off the floor with your deads. You going for another squat PB or a bench PB in the near future? I best put my belt on and see what I can squat.

Sleeves are allowed, but I don't know about thor/odin ones etc. They may only permit the thinner types that they now use in the ipf.

Nice BW PBage and front squats. Keep it up (or down if you're being pedantic)

They can help but if you eat s**t and have 5 vitamin tablets a day, you're not going to get anything out of it.

Eat well, take vitamins to top it off. Not hard.
