Nah, not Chinese at all. Doesn't mean I can't wish you all a happy new year in Chinese. I'm afraid that's almost all my Chinese vocabulary (apart from Chow mein, tsingtao, pak choi and dim sum!)

I didn't find anyone for the team comp. My event training is deadlifts and shoulder pressing! Too tight/broke to travel to west London to train events. The gym I train at is about 10mins walk from mine. It's not like i'm going to finish 3rd or 4th where there's prize money involved. I'm just hoping not to finish dead last.

Popped into Morrisons to get some supplies for the week. Ended up also buying 10 bhaji's for £1 and 2 scotch eggs for £1. That'll do for tonight.

I'm in a commercial gym too - they seem to be nice people that work there and we all get along, so they don't seem to give me any problems when I train. I put my weights away when i'm done, help the girls clean up at the end of their shift if i'm there late and don't leave chalk everywhere. It's not a chain gym, but still a commercial one.

TERRIBLE night for the back last night. Took 10mg diazepam and still kept waking up from the pain. Couldn't move at all.

Seated press (belted)
Bar x 3
35kg x 3
55kg x 3
65kg x 3 (with sleeves)
70kg x 3 or 75kg x 0

Seated side raises
10s x 12,12,12

Push press (belt and sleeves)
55kg x 3
65kg x 3
70kg x 3
72.5kg x 3
75kg x 3

Belt cleans (trying)
55kg x 3
65kg x 3
75kg x 0,1. Pretty painful and got red pinch marks all over my stomach.

Dumbbell 1 motion
30s x 3/3
35s x 3/3
Dumbbell jerk (sleeves)
40s x 7L 5R - Think the sleeves are making me hold the dumbbell much closer than I'd like. Lost balance on left arm but was definitely good for more. I'm pretty sure there's 10 reps in the tank.

I tend to get it during the squats if i'm gonna get it. At night can happen but is rarer. It sucks because if I get it bad during a squat sesh i'm so weak out the hole cos of pain I have to just stop lifting, or work around it with something like front squats which never hurt.
It's been behaving recently though, I made some changes to my stance and form

Took (stole) a diazepam last night (gf had some when she got hit by a car). Still couldn't get to sleep, still woke up because of the pain. Yesterday, I had the same issues that you have. What did you do that made it hurt, and what are you doing now? Fronts weren't too comfortable, 132.5 hurt at the bottom. Sometimes I'll just unrack and not even walk it out because of the pain. You find any stretches useful?

Sounds like a good plan. I'll see you on Sunday (now I have an excuse to be out of the house and away from the lady.) If you need anything (chalk, baby powder, bolts for belt etc.) then let me know.

I'll most likely be there on Sunday. Come say hi if you see me and I haven't spotted you (no pun intended)

You sure you did enough exercises? After the regular bench and close grips, i'd have been out of there. Probably why i'm weak.

Massive bowl of pasta, tomato sauce, bacon, cheese etc. 841 kcals. Went training, then grabbed 3 cheeseburgers on the way home - another 900kcals. Total for the day is pushing 4,000 and I'll have another shake just before I go to bed (100g oats, 500ml milk)

You have exactly the same problem as me - squats flare my sciatica up a LOT, as do conv deads (which I don't do). Somehow, SLDL's are fine. Tried stretching and de-loading (chins before squats, trunk rotation etc.) but squat day = waking up at night from a back that's seized up.

4 singles with a PB. Quality close gripping.
