I agree with Rob. For the next 6 months you'll see basically weekly growth. After that it gets harder. Never give up.

Good quote too.

Good stuff mate. How were the 65's on the bench?? You must be good for some nice big juicy PB's soon.

They were good actually. Although they took a lot out of me afterwards. I think that's down to the weekend though.

As for PB's I am going to try add 2.5kg each week for the next three (Might be possible, might not. Either way I'll give it my best shot). Then a week off for Christmas and then I'm gonna spend a week testing my maxes so indeed there will be some fresh PB's in the new year. Happy

Good luck with the training! Not trying to sound condescending or anything, because I still consider myself a beginner, but your position is a hell of a lot of fun to be in because you can get strong so quick and there are so many milestones to be broken! Get stuck in!

Agreed. I tend to be a little impatient so I'll need to keep an eye on that but I am certainly looking forward to breaking some milestones.

I've got this journal over on Muscle Talk and powerliftinguk so I'm gonna stick it on here too.

I started proper weight training 5 weeks ago.

I'm 5'10 and 82kg

The first week my lifts were SQ 45/B 50/ DL 65 all 5x5. My plan was to add 2.5kg to each of the big three (working weight) for 10 weeks. Then break for Christmas and reassess.

So far so good with the increases. I'll start things off with tonights workout.

Hello One & All,

I've just joined this site. Followed a link from Tony's signature on Muscle Talk. So far I really like the site. The League and PB chart are a great idea and there seems to be lots of good articles. Most of the members must know their stuff too judging my the numbers in the league. Whoever is in charge of the site is doing a great job. Very smooth layout with some excellent functionality. That's from a web designer too.

Anyway I'm looking forward to reading a bit more on here when I get the chance.
